You need to rub them a little in your hand so that they become elongated, insert them deep into the ear, carefully, making sure not to reach the eardrum, and then let them expand inside the cavity. I live in a neighborhood with many dogs that bark at the slightest noise and their owners let them out on the balconies even during quiet hours, starting from 6 in the morning. So, I got these earplugs. They are very good, you don't hear anything if you put them in front of your ear, then place them inside and hold them with resistance at the edge until they expand and take their place. Because recently some "two-legged" moved into the building, I had to buy earplugs. If you wear them correctly (as shown in the instructions on the back), they provide good sound insulation. They saved me from snoring (not my own, of course). They don't completely block out the noise, which is good because it allows me to wake up with my alarm or if something happens with the kids. However, they do block out enough for me to sleep comfortably.
It is very important to insert them correctly. For me, pulling my ear slightly backward helps, rather than completely upward as stated in the instructions, and they need to be inserted quickly and at the right angle, otherwise it starts from the beginning. This is a matter of experience.
They don't get dirty for me, as I clean my ears well with cotton swabs at least 3 times a week.
Although they are meant for single use, I use them much more. I throw them away when they stop easily fitting into my ear. After a certain period, around 2-3 weeks (definitely less than a month), they become very elastic and return to their original shape before you can put them in your ear.
I have been using them for 3 months now and the only problem I encountered was a slight irritation that lasted for 2-3 days and sometimes a little pain when they are new and easily inserted deeply into the ear. With experience, I understand this and pull them out slightly.
For me, they are perfect, although not all ears are the same.
