Together with another unit (also a Mitsubishi 24,000 BTU), they have exclusively taken over the heating/cooling of a 135 square meter house in Athens, without any other heat source. With absolute success. And now, here's the main concern for many people: energy consumption. After extensive personal research and measurements, it depends on many factors such as the external temperature, the desired internal temperature, insulation, openings (doors, windows), the number of people inside the space, and even the furniture arrangement. Comparing it to oil consumption (referring to heating), it won't even burn HALF the amount of money. However, the quality and feeling of warmth are different. Personally, I prefer the feeling of radiators, but the difference in economy is significant. This means that you will spend much more time at the desired temperatures, at the cost of a (possibly) "cheap" feeling of warmth. In terms of consumption, there is nothing to compare in cold weather. In general, consumption will be a pleasant surprise in any case and conditions. My recommendation is to buy something branded, even if it is slightly more expensive than the competition. A good unit will last you more than 12-15 years, so it's worth investing in quality. When comparing models, look at the SEER & SCOOP ratings. The higher the ratings, the more economical it is. If you delve deeper, I inform you that Greece is a hot zone - so you know what to look for. This is a detail that you need to "dig deeper" into the research to learn. So, don't pay much attention to the energy ratings A, A+, etc. They are just a starting point. The next point for comparison - and the most important of all - is the Annual Energy Consumption mentioned by every reputable manufacturer. The lower the number, the lower the consumption. Check the product's specifications to find this information. Here, in the summarized characteristics provided by Skroutz, it is not mentioned. In conclusion, we look at and compare SEER/SCOOP and annual consumption in kWh. Everything else is marketing, personal preferences, and... if only we had something else to say.
