Description

Built-in cooktop from the manufacturer AEG, with 4 cooking zones.
It is ceramic with a smooth glass surface, which turns red when heated. It heats up very quickly and evenly thanks to the heating elements located under its surface. Also, its cleaning is easier compared to classic enamel cooktops.
It operates autonomously, meaning it can function on its own without the need for connection to an oven. This means it can be placed anywhere in your kitchen that suits you best. It is suitable for combination with an above-counter oven, as the oven can be placed anywhere, independently of the cooktops.

The control for selecting the desired temperatures and settings is done digitally and via touch. All options are located at the bottom of the hob and are integrated into the surface. Therefore, all you need to start cooking is a few gentle touches with your finger.

It also features a child safety lock, which ensures that the hob will not be accidentally activated. By pressing the lock button, all functions are disconnected, and any hob can be quickly and easily secured. The hob can be unlocked by pressing the button again for a few seconds.

The hobs are a click more powerful than other ceramic ones (e.g. the large eye is 3000W instead of the usual 2100W-2200W). You feel them "different", they go up to 14, they heat up faster than others, but they also cool down faster, they have surprisingly fast response, while they can even do a Dutch oven without a bain-marie! They clean easily, etc. The electronics, apart from the timer, do not offer anything special, they are more annoying, and finally the hob2hood is a gimmick. Don't fall into the trap of getting an AEG extractor for the hob2hood (just like I didn't), you can open and close any extractor without help from the hob. I don't know if there are more powerful ceramic hobs than these, but let's face it, ceramic hobs are not exactly cutting-edge technology... Anyone who doesn't intend to spend so much money on hobs doesn't lose that much, there are other very good new ceramic hobs. Anyone who loves cooking will manage just as well with cheaper but also more expensive options. I have a beloved expensive pan that doesn't fit on induction hobs, I don't like adapters or fires inside the house, that's why I chose a ceramic hob. With a purchase price of 310e a few months ago, I think the value for money was greater than it is today. For the more curious ones, at this price that the product is today (~360e), it might be worth looking at induction hobs.
