I have tried almost every earplug on the market. These specific ones are the best for two reasons, which you can see in the photo. The first reason is that they are larger (even by a few millimeters) and thicker than the others. And a third reason is the external texture, which is smoother (glossy) compared to, for example, the yellow earplug (second from the left) which is also from 3M but has a rough surface that irritates the inside of my ear. They also have more durability compared to the others, even though normally no earplug is meant for multiple uses.

Influenced by the comments, I bought 10 pieces. It's a shame because I will throw them away. They are among the hardest I have tried, I suffered from pain all night. Also, due to their large size, they would come out of my ear, resulting in me searching for them all night (and it's not a misuse or application error as I have been using earplugs for years). I prefer the yellow ones from the same brand, but they are no longer available in many pharmacies.

Did you find this review helpful?I have been searching for these specific earplugs for a long time, and finally found them. Honestly, and I don't know exactly why, but all the other earplugs made of foam are not as effective and comfortable as these ones.
So, when I try some others, either they will have similar sound isolation but they will bother/hurt my ears, or the opposite, comfortable in the ears but with poor sound isolation.
And to explain a bit what I meant initially (I have been searching for a long time...):
The 3M 1100 are exactly these earplugs that you see here: [link]. They no longer exist.
For some reason, 3M discontinued the 3M Nexcare Protetor Auditivo, and released the same ones but without the cardboard packaging and in a pack of 1 pair instead of 2 pairs together.
I have no problem with that, but they could have made it a bit more obvious that it is exactly the same product.In any case, despite 3M's practices, I have to tell you that personally I cannot find any other product that is equal or better.
Honestly, I have tried countless foam earplugs, and the 3M 1100 are by far the best.Overall, then:
- Bad marketing
- Poor packaging (although it doesn't matter much for earplugs)
- Excellent performance
- Very comfortableP.S. For those who complain about comfort (ear pain, etc.), if this problem happens to you sometimes and not other times, it's simply a bad application, guys, nothing else. Because they are made of foam, they can "fold" a bit if you put them on crookedly and quickly. It needs to be done lightly and slowly, and straight into the ear canal, not crookedly and quickly with force. If, on the other hand, they cause you pain every time you wear them, then they are probably not suitable for you, try others. We don't all have exactly the same body.
