Friendship, gratitude, and a sense of duty towards this God, who appears not as an ecstatic and indifferent "unmoved mover," but as, according to Kavasilas, the "abode of human desires," radically transforms the entire universe into a co-active society of dialogical reciprocity - the surprise of an encounter that surpasses the boldest dreams of any human philosophy, as it is outlined in the words and works of the participants of the ecclesiastical event, both ancient and modern. An encounter that, even amidst the oscillations and tremors of human disposition, movingly testifies to the truth of the already commenced "Kingdom within us," which joyfully reflects within us the event of the Church, that is, the history of God's love.
