Adapter for connecting a VGA monitor to an HDMI device with a 3.5mm port for audio and micro-USB for charging. A 1-meter micro-USB cable is included.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Simple and functional, used to connect a laptop to a projector that did not have HDMI, in combination with an aux cable for sound it does exactly what it describes
It does what it promises! I wanted to connect the Vodafone TV to a screen at the office and to the computer's speakers. Therefore, this splitter provides VGA output (which I had free on the monitor) + 3.5 jack audio. Value for money + excellent performance
It is perfect for the money, it has a sound card and it has perfect resolution for screens that only support old good cables
Includes a sound card, so you may need to keep this in mind if suddenly your sound stops working. Simply change the audio source in the application or globally in the settings. Quite useful for older devices
Although we have some issues with the touch screen changing color on its own, it does a good job overall
Connected to a laptop. It may be defective, the cable might also be to blame even though it is brand new, but:
1. When the screen auto adjusts, the image gets messed up and requires manual adjustment.
2. When the laptop goes into standby, the screen doesn't turn off but shows a message to check the cable. This means they didn't bother to set it up to send the corresponding command to the screen. This happens with and without external USB power.
For me, a useless product.
EDIT: IN THE END, IT WAS THE CABLE. As soon as I changed the VGA cable, everything was resolved. The standby works and it plays very well, no flickering or anything. And also, it doesn't require external power, at least on my PC.
Get it and revive your old monitor!
I have connected a Raspberry Pi running Retropie (retro videogame emulator) to an older 4:3 monitor with VGA input and it plays wonderfully. Recommended!
I bought it to connect my MacBook to the outdated school projector that still has a scart connection, but it didn't work. I should note that I used this adapter (scart to hdmi) on the scart of the projector and on top of it, I used a second adapter hdmi to usb-c to connect it to the Mac. The image appeared, but it was not stable, my computer screen would turn black every few seconds. Maybe if it was directly connected to a computer with hdmi, it would have better performance, but for Mac, definitely not
I bought it to connect an old VGA / 1280x1024 monitor to an HDMI output graphics card. It worked by simply connecting it to HDMI (without needing additional power) and the image quality is *excellent*.
Minus one star because occasionally the HDMI-VGA connection momentarily cuts off, for about 1 second. It happens randomly, on average once a day, and it didn't seem to improve by connecting the additional power through USB to the converter.
Very good. I connected a mini PC to a 22" LG monitor. It worked immediately and without power. The sound is great. Very good product.
Very good! with a value of 2-3 euros wholesale and 7+ retail and it is perfect for a screen that has a broken HDMI port that does not display an image and for TVs with a VGA input by connecting this excellent little thing to any device you want, apart from the motherboard/graphics card.
It does a great job, almost comparable to the Onboard DAC of the graphics card. Keep in mind that we are talking about a device that costs around 7-8 euros and includes a USB cable for power supply. The sound is very good and in my case, it may even be better than the Onboard sound card. It works perfectly with audio and video through the HDMI output of my motherboard, without needing power supply.
It works perfectly! I connected my Lenovo laptop with HDMI output to a Dell monitor with VGA input with a resolution of 1920x1080, 60Hz. The USB power cable was not needed.
Perfect!!!
LG TV from 2001 connected to a switch (I had it connected to a receiver before and I changed it to a switch to connect other devices on top) and it works PERFECTLY.
It is easy to use, you simply connect one end of a VGA cable to the TV and the other end to the adapter, and then to any device/switch/splitter you want, and it works with all the tests that were done...
Note: The package only includes a short micro-USB power cable (I replaced it with a longer one since it wasn't long enough to power from another source) and it doesn't have sound even though it has a port. If you have speakers and want sound, you can connect them, otherwise you can output sound from devices like I did.
Perfect, I got it to connect my laptop to a projector and it works great.
Very useful that it has an extra power supply through USB.
Very good and for those wondering if it works with old monitors for connection with PS4 it works perfectly, you just need to connect the micro USB for it to work
It works great and it's plug and play. I connected it to an old monitor that only has VGA output and it worked perfectly. It also comes with a cable for extra power supply, but it seems like it's only necessary if you have multiple monitors connected with a hub. It works without it as well. And of course, it has an audio input.
I bought it to connect an old monitor that had VGA and so far it works great. This one has a micro USB port for extra power, without which it wouldn't work because I connected the HDMI to the graphics card and the VGA cable to the adapter, but I couldn't see any signal on the screen. As soon as I connected the micro USB for power, it worked immediately, so this specific product is worth it
It works, just not for the PS4 which is why I bought it. Disappointed in this aspect, but I will use it for the computer :)
Cheap and hassle-free. Tested on 3 devices so far. It is relatively rare for an HDMI to VGA converter to be both cheap and good. Recommended.
The product connects to HDMI and a VGA cable. It is very easy. It supports up to 1080p, which is more than enough. The VGA monitor I have works at 720P with 60hz, which is very common for older monitors. It also has an audio port, which is very convenient when switching between devices to have only one cable. The adapter can be connected to an Asus laptop or a Nintendo Switch without any issues.
The adapter works perfectly, I had no issues. I used it on both my PS3 and PS4 with a Dell monitor with a resolution of 1366x768 without any problems. It also works for televisions with broken HDMI ports, as long as they have a VGA input and can support resolutions up to 1920x1080.
The adapter does exactly what it promises, 60Hz, maximum resolution 1080p, and it worked on both a PC and a TV decoder with HDMI output to an old LG VGA monitor.
Very good device, I connected a Nintendo Switch to it on a VGA screen and it was perfect. It does some kind of processing, because my screen showed the Switch that was set to 1080p, even though it doesn't support that resolution (1680x1050), and the aspect ratio was also strange (the screen is 16:10, so it stretched). I set the switch to 720p and it looked maybe better, without stretching, in 16:9, with black bars of course, so I will blame my old screen. Then I connected it to a laptop on the same screen, Windows automatically found the screen resolution and everything played normally, as expected. It also worked without power, but I have it connected anyway. The speaker jack takes the sound from HDMI and outputs it to a 3.5mm plug without any problem.
Very good, I have it for 3 days and it also has the USB for extra power supply. It worked perfectly fine for me even without connecting the USB
Fully functional with PS4 (specifically the Slim). Thanks to the power supply, it responds without any problems, unlike other cheap commercial options. It's worth it as you will pay for something that you will definitely know how it works. Finally, many people talk about HDMI switch/splitter, but it is not necessary at all with this specific converter.
P.S.: To make it work, disable HDCP (settings->system->disable HDCP)
It worked perfectly. I got it as a second old monitor and it's perfect!!! I have Windows 8.1 but I believe it will work perfectly with Windows 10 as well
Very good build quality. It was used on an old VGA monitor and worked perfectly connected to both a Mac computer (in FULL HD resolution) and a DIGEA digital decoder for watching TV programs. The great advantage of this adapter is that it has extra power supply via a microUSB cable (the cable is included in the package), providing enough voltage to make it work (when I connected it to the computer without the microUSB cable, the screen simply didn't work). Additionally, a big positive is that it also provides audio output, so the sound from HDMI can be directed to external speakers. WARNING: it transfers HDMI signal to VGA, not the other way around (for example, connecting a computer with a VGA port to a screen with HDMI using this adapter). Choose it over cheap or cheaper solutions, so you can be sure that it will do its job. We usually try to save a few euros by buying something cheap, only to end up buying a second one because the first one doesn't work.
It worked perfectly with the mini display port digital output of my Mac Mini, after trying many different products. Thanks to the 5V USB power supply it has.
