Very powerful tools with a sturdy feel and construction!
Both have LED lights to better see the marks for drilling and screwing, etc.
Both DeWalt tools have a BRUSHLESS motor.
Both the Drill/Driver and the Impact Driver.
It also has a metal chuck for heavy-duty use.
Both DeWalt tools have clips to attach them to your belt.
And on the other side, they have a magnet to hold Philips bits.
After purchasing the product, make a direct declaration on the official DeWalt website with the store receipt to get an additional 2-year warranty. (total of 3 years, meaning 1 year from the purchase date and 2 additional years from the time you declare it on the DeWalt website)

Well 3 stars and many are... Strong yes... Batteries very good... However, in my 6th month it had a problem with very minimal use the palm screwdriver. It does not unscrew the chuck and has about 3 millimeters of play, resulting in the soul trembling if you screw next to glass or something fragile. You can no longer screw because nothing goes straight.... Pity for such a company... The fact that they are made in China should have concerned me... The tool is at the repair shop for the semester.

*Well the tool went to a representative for repair.... After about a month and something.. after many attempts of mine to find out about the progress of the repair, they simply told me that the spare part is not available and it will be replaced and they will send me a paper to go to the buyer to change it. I simply did not expect such poor service from such a big company... I am still waiting to see what they will do. 40 days have passed and I am still without the tool and I still have a long way to go.... Pity.. When will dewalt again
The price is a bit steep...but when you want these two tools (in a set and not separately)..you should know that you will finish with the drill-screwdriver and impact screwdriver for many many years... you won't regret a single euro....not to mention that it's love at first sight..

I only work with these impact drills. Due to my experience, I have to say that they have a flaw with the batteries. After a while, when you put them in, they shake a lot and lose contact. I don't know why this happens, but I suspect it's due to material wear. It seems that the connection between the battery and the screwdriver is being damaged

Simply very powerful tools. I still use them even with M8 X 140 screws on pergolas with fir wood and it happens to cut the screw for me. I would easily buy them again
The set is very powerful. Simply amazing. I often use the drill for holes in concrete and brick to support pipes, as I want precision in the hole so that there are no gaps and the anchors don't move. I have used it many times with a 10mm drill bit on rooftops for solar panel installation, and it effortlessly drills through the plate like butter. It also has a metal chuck for heavy-duty use. I have the impact driver as a complement, so I don't have to change bits, and it seems very powerful although I haven't pushed it as much as the drill. Finally, the case can fit a lot of things inside, it won't disappoint you, and the battery life is unbelievable.

Good and high-quality construction and materials, very powerful batteries that get the job done.
I find the comments referring to the battery attachment completely insignificant, they have a very, very slight shake.
It's really nothing special and not annoying at all, it won't affect you during your work, you have absolutely nothing to fear!

At work, for some years now we have been using another DeWalt set, the DCK2062D2T series with 2.0Ah batteries, which also includes a drill/driver and an impact driver but with smaller batteries.
So it was at least a one-way street for me personally to choose this brand and this specific DeWalt DCK266P2 set for personal use.
Also, for those who choose it, prefer the official DeWalt sellers in Greece.
And also, immediately after purchasing the product, make a direct declaration on the official DeWalt website with the store receipt to get an additional 2 years of warranty (total of 3 years, 1 year from the purchase date and 2 more from the time you declare it to DeWalt), make the declaration relatively soon and quickly because there is a 10-day margin from the purchase date.
Both DeWalt tools have clips to attach to your belt, and on the other side they have a magnet to hold Phillips bits, screws, etc. for quick access.
Both have LED lights to see markings better for drilling, screwing, etc.
The drill/driver has 2 functions for the LED light it has, the first two levels are for the intensity of the light (high-low), and the third level is for a flashlight-like function with a stronger light that remains permanently on in that level without turning off the light.
The impact driver has 3 speed settings.
The first setting is considered ideal for screwing screws.
In terms of weight, it's relatively okay (the situation is manageable, I would say).
Don't forget that due to the size of the batteries (5.0Ah), they make it heavy, both the impact driver and the drill/driver.
A small drawback, in my opinion, is the carrying case.
DeWalt could have done a much better design on the inside, especially in the part where you place the drill/driver, the impact driver, the batteries, and the charger, that's mainly what I'm referring to in that part of the case.
You could fit some more things inside the case, you lose space in that section and it's not negligible.

Really great tools... the set does not lack anywhere and the cost ratio for what they offer is very fair.
Great power for 90% of a professional's tasks, proper ergonomics and construction in all individual parts of the set, amazing batteries and one of the best toolkits on the market.
Some details that can easily be improved in future models are the excessively strong brake on the drill driver, the torque scaling on the screwdriver that could have more scales, and the assembly on the battery latch that allows for a slight shake... but we are talking about details that in no way are enough to detract from their performance and usefulness.
Pay attention to the store selection... prefer official resellers because there are many second-hand products, refurbished, etc. circulating.

Amateur, but I saw the light. Simply amazing, powerful. Lifetime purchase.
I used a drill driver for screwing, but the screwdriver was a revelation for me. Significant cost (for me as an amateur), but I consider it a product that fulfilled my need for a lightweight drill and screwdriver.
I am an electrician and I have had this product since 2017. With one battery charge, the screwdriver at the beginning of its life, at least, did a lot of work and difficult tasks, such as screwing large drill bits into grids around a factory. They have a lot of power and precision. The durability is the same. I think it is the best right now in a screwdriver set. Neither Bosch nor Makita (which I had various products from both) compare.
I bought the set because I built a kitchen by myself from scratch, and I had arguments with 3 kitchen fitters who wanted an arm and a leg. Very good and powerful tools, the batteries are incredible, didn't need a second charge. The drill struggled a bit to drill a 50-year-old concrete wall, but that's understandable, it needed a pneumatic drill there. Recently, I used the impact driver with 1/2 and 1/4 adapters for nuts on the car, and I really enjoyed it. Okay, it doesn't loosen wheel bolts, but if you loosen them manually, it becomes child's play to put on and take off the wheels.
I have had these for a little over 2 years. I am a carpenter and I use them every day constantly. The batteries are inexhaustible and they charge from empty to full in about half an hour.
Due to my job, I have worked with almost all brands. Dewalt is the most powerful but at the same time the most nerve-wracking due to its power. Makita, in the same category, works smoother but does not have the power of Dewalt.
If you are torn between the two, believe me, you will not regret any of your choices, I speak from experience.

Guys, I don't know but I was disappointed with the quality of the tool since the batteries move quite a bit in both tools of the set, the torque indicators do not click clearly, they are very powerful but for this money, you expect better build quality... I should have bought the Makita
Excellent quality Dewalt. Both are very powerful and you forget to charge them. I have had them for a few months and I have only had to charge them once with frequent but not daily use
Although I have only had them for a week, they have been working non-stop all day for four consecutive days. A screw that I couldn't screw in by hand was easily screwed in. It works well on plasterboard and OSB and MDF wood, but I don't know about other materials. It struggled a bit with drilling a hole in concrete, but managed to make 16 holes and even wore out the drill bit. Great tools, I will come back with any updates. I built the entire 40sqm warehouse with shelves in about a week, and both batteries lasted a long time. Both tools are very good and I would definitely buy them again as an amateur.

Owner of a DCD785, I decided to upgrade to the DCD996 set along with the 788 impact driver.
It should be noted that I purchased the DCD785 in 2014 with the 4ah battery, which simply never ran out and after so many years it still shows no signs of fatigue and never discharges....

Power in all uses and durability beyond expectations
The best in compact percussion!!! Be careful, it spins your hands in the first speed!! Very high drilling speed. It easily drills a 15 cm hole in concrete like butter. I have also tried it with a SDS drill bit and it was truly incredible!! It feels like it has a pneumatic 2.5 joule and more. The impact driver has 3 speeds with a very good chuck that allows you to insert a bit simply by putting it in without holding it, and it automatically ejects it without holding it. Huge convenience. With enough power to insert a 13mm screw into a 15cm wooden beam relatively easily. I also use it for work on machines and bicycles, no problem. It can even remove car bolts. Both tools have excellent build quality, very well balanced, very good trigger control, very good LEDs, especially the drill which has a 20-second delay in the third setting and delivers 60-70 lumens. In complete darkness, it illuminates an entire 25m² room and more. The strongest light (essentially a flashlight) available in a drill (the same goes for the big DCD996 which is a "beast"). The batteries are very good and relatively lightweight. I have the 2Ah batteries. The tools perform much better with the 5Ah batteries. Especially with Flexvolt batteries, they become different tools!!!!! As for the negatives, I would like them to make less noise, I would like the chuck on the drill to be a bit more high-quality, and it should have a side handle due to its power. Be careful when using a 10mm-12mm cobalt drill bit, as it tends to get stuck in the iron and spins for fun!!! The tool never stops for any reason!!!!!
The first year the choke broke.. I replaced it.. and after 2 years of use, they gave up one month apart from each other... it's a shame, I had them in high regard...
