I don't know about the negative reviews, but the current batches on the thermometer are definitely accurate (-/+ 0.1, 0.2 C)...Measurement from the mouth takes 1 minute, measurement from the back takes 1 minute...ATTENTION...For accurate measurement in the armpit, it takes 4-5 minutes (even if it beeps in 1 minute) normally, just like an analog mercury thermometer...I won't explain how it works because you won't read the instructions....BEFORE using it, read the instructions, it's in Greek...The sound under the armpit is difficult to hear when it's closed inside, but whether it can be heard or not, we don't pay attention and leave it for a total of 5 minutes...My sister bought it from a local pharmacy and I saw that it gave her the same reading as an analog one when she had a fever of 38.6...so I also got one for myself...as soon as I opened it, it fell from a height of less than 1 meter, if it was a glass mercury thermometer it would have broken and I would have to collect the mercury...despite the fall, it works very well...the battery is GP192 or LR41 or SW41 or AG3 (they are all the same size with 1.55V) it says it lasts for 2 years and it can be changed by slowly pulling and pressing with caution the blue cap on the sides (I tried it and it didn't pull out the whole sensor)...the photos (36.6, 37.2, 37.6 C) are from mine with a 5-minute measurement and both thermometers together at the same time that I placed them carefully under the armpit (later I marked mine with indelible ink so it wouldn't get confused with the family's, which we have the same)...EDIT Stay away from electronic devices (mobile phones, tablets, laptops, radios, televisions, etc.)
It has accuracy and seems to have good construction. As the instructions say for axillary temperature measurement, it takes 2-3 minutes even for the sound to be heard.
To hear the beep, complete silence must prevail. As soon as I took off the lid to see what batteries it takes, it dragged along the entire interior and cut off the sensors... All of this happened within the first hour of me getting it. Stay away.
Whatever! It doesn't give the correct temperature at a point where I have had a fever for a week and I don't even know it!
