Description

The Arduino Mega 2560 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega2560. It features 54 digital input/output pins (of which 15 can be used as PWM outputs), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with an AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started. The Mega 2560 board is compatible with most shields designed for the Uno and the former Duemilanove or Diecimila boards. The Mega 2560 is an update to the Arduino Mega, which it replaces.

I bought 2 pieces, one of them has a faulty eeprom and cannot upload. I returned it and they sent me another one, but the new one does the exact same thing. It's likely a copy of a copy...

Very good, easily programmed (in C++) with the Arduino IDE. The program is loaded via a simple USB. All the peripherals of the CPU have special commands to function, which are explained on the Arduino website. There are many additional boards besides the classic I/O, such as Ethernet, Wifi, RTC, etc., which have the appropriate libraries to be programmed.
