  Stoves of this type require proper handling, otherwise it is better not to buy them, specifically:

  It is a stove that releases combustion gases into the living space. It has no exhaust, no chimney to release the combustion gases outside. THEREFORE: do not complain about the smell that it may emit. It is not a coincidence that everyone mentions to light it and extinguish it OUTSIDE the house. It is logical that during ignition and extinguishing, it will have incomplete combustion, resulting in an unpleasant smell of unburned oil combined with smoke. When the stove is in its normal operation and has the fuel specified by the manufacturer and not any other, then the combustion will be perfect and the gases it emits into your space will not have any smell or harmful substances. The only negative aspect of gas emission (from perfect combustion) in the space is that the atmosphere loses oxygen content and the carbon dioxide content increases significantly. Therefore, proper ventilation is necessary in the space for renewal. As for the possible headaches that someone may mention, it is because the space does not have proper ventilation and there is not enough oxygen combined with the high carbon dioxide content. As for the mold that some mention, it is not due to the stove, but to the excessively high humidity that existed in the space, which appeared due to sudden dehumidification caused by an increase in room temperature. Regarding consumption, the more you use the stove, the more it will burn. Personally, I have it at 3/4 of its power and it easily lasts for 10 hours of operation with a full tank, heating a unified space of 80 square meters, allowing you to walk around in short sleeves in December-January. Overall, I find it economical compared to other heating sources. Do not compare it to the latest generation boilers/air conditioners/natural gas/heat pumps, etc. These stoves are mainly made to heat spaces where other heating methods cannot be installed.
  I have had it for 5 years now, I have not done any service yet and I have not encountered any problems. It requires caution when moving, especially when trying to move it while it is lit because there is a risk of activating the safety feature it has, and then it will extinguish abruptly, not allowing you to immediately take it outside to prevent the space from smelling.
  Be careful not to be sold a Kerosun that is not Made in Japan.

  I have had it for 11 years and I haven't had a single problem, and it has had a preventive service. You turn it on and off on the balcony regardless of whether you use the company's odorless oil. It heats up the whole house and when you turn it off, it remains warm.

  When lighting/extinguishing it outdoors, it doesn't smell at all. When you follow the instructions, the stove works great. The only negative thing is the consumption... To have satisfactory results without odors, do the following: pull out the switch, inside you will see a white disc with gradation 1,2,3 corresponding to the position of the wick, lightly pull the disc towards you and set the gradation to 3 (photo), this way the wick rises upwards and you have perfect combustion, put the switch back in its position. Never close the stove from the emergency switch unless necessary. Always close it from the ignition switch by turning it in the opposite direction... Have a good winter

  Negatives:
  1) It burns too much as everyone mentions (compared to gas, new technology AC, Dopler panel, Convector)
  2) Difficult to transport due to its weight.
  3) High cost of service at Official.
  4) Strong smell during ignition and extinguishing (must be done in an outdoor area)
  5) You need to buy odorless and high-quality fuel (more expensive fuel)
  6) Difficult to find high-quality fuel (depending on the area)
  7) Expensive purchase cost, with a few extra expenses you can get an AC, Infrared panel, etc.
  8) It consumes all the oxygen from the room (a window must be open)
  9) Creates mold and humidity in the room (if you see your windows after use, you will understand. You must have a window open)
  10) To have good performance, you have to play with the wick (up during ignition, down after a while)
  11) When it is lit, be very careful during transportation, as it may go out due to safety and emit black smoke.
  12) There is no thermostat to stop it from burning (logical).
  13) Not suitable for use with small children, as it burns excessively if they touch it (it is not an AC, Panel, convector, radiator where even if you touch it, nothing happens)
  14) Slow performance compared to an AC.
  15) The heat does not remain in the room after it is turned off (like, for example, Infrared panel, radiator)
  16) It cannot provide a stable temperature in the room, for example, 18-20 degrees.
  17) An air dehumidifier is necessary due to humidity (check the hygrometer after a few hours)
  18) Not suitable for people with respiratory problems (stay away for the above reasons)
  19) There is no safety mechanism to lower the wick a little before the fuel runs out, it only does it slowly when you are asleep, for example.

  Positives:
  1) Very powerful performance.
  2) Fast performance (compared to panels, convector, radiator)
  3) Consumption compared to (oil radiator, lamp stoves, and all those that are 2,500-3,500 Watts)
  4) Portability, you can take it wherever you want, to a country house, etc.
  5) It does not need electricity.
  6) In case of need, you can warm something on top of it.
  7) If you do the service, it never has any problems. I have one that is 15 years old and a new one that is 3 years old.

  Ps. No matter what rules you follow, responsible or not, it is a fact that you must have a window open, which is silly. It's like having the best insulation in your house and then opening holes for the cold to come in. And the fact that the stove does not turn off makes it even worse, it continues to burn whether the window is closed or open. There is NEVER a constant temperature!

  Ps.2 I keep it as a backup for one hour of need (no electricity). Or when it is below 0 degrees and the AC, panels can't handle it because, let's face it, the negatives are many, but you won't easily find the heat it emits at such intensity elsewhere for its size.

  I wasted my money as a bottle costs 25 and lasts only for 2-3 days! Pathetic. I bought a stove to keep it open for several hours and warm the house well, not to light it up for a short time and then close it. And the other tragic negative is that when I am relaxed at night and put it in the room, I have to get up and take it to another room to close it, otherwise the whole space will smell for a long time.

  Most of the points have already been mentioned. I will emphasize that if it turns on and off, then it does not smell at all during its operation, even with both types of fuel from the company (Kerosun Crystal 1 odorless kerosene and Kerosun Extra). For these specific heaters, since we said that they do not smell during their operation, it is better to use the second one, the Extra, as it contains additional combustion enhancers resulting in smoother and more powerful performance of the specific Kerosun models. It is also good to have a window open during its operation for better performance and to oxygenate the space. The room temperature does not drop as the heater has a stable combustion operation and is really powerful!!! The fuel consumption is that of the manufacturer, about 650ml per hour. The heater can be filled with 7.5 liters and operates continuously for 12 hours. Finally, it is located in a 90sqm space, in the center, and while outside the temperature is 8°C, inside the rooms it reaches temperatures of 19.1, 19.3, 19.9, and 20°C after 3 hours of operation...

  I have had this stove for 15 years continuously. It is a unique stove that is traditionally produced and not randomly made. In order for it to function properly and last for decades, you need to follow certain steps:

  1) It does not require electricity to operate, so you are covered during power outages and won't be left without heating. It is also suitable for situations like war, such as houses without electricity, basements, warehouses, shelters, etc.

  2) To avoid odors, you should light and extinguish it outside the heating area, and you will be free from any smells. This is a process that you know from the beginning when you purchase it. If you follow this, your space will never smell.

  3) Never use loose heating oil in it, always use double-filtered kerosene unless you know that the loose oil you are buying is clean. This is important for the stove to perform perfectly, prevent the wick and its tank from accumulating deposits, and of course, to avoid smoking (which can happen with adulterated oil). So, I recommend kerosene or the EKO brand (part of the ELPE group), which produces very good and clean kerosene for stoves since the kerosene is purchased from there :)

  4) To have low fuel consumption, during ignition, you should let it burn at the highest setting for a maximum of ten minutes, adjusting the wick to the maximum flow, and then lower it to the lowest setting and let it work there for as many hours as you want.

  5) Due to the strong heating with a sudden temperature difference between the inside and outside, usually, you will see a lot of moisture and water running down the windows (condensation on the windows). This happens because of the phenomenon I described. So, you should always leave a window or door slightly open (if you have proper ventilation) to prevent this phenomenon and allow fresh oxygen, which is necessary for the stove's combustion. Don't worry about losing heat from the room because the stove operates continuously (it doesn't turn off when it reaches a certain temperature) with a constant flow of kerosene combustion. So, whether you close or don't close the window, it has nothing to do with fuel economy; it will burn what it needs. Just remember to have a slightly open window or door.

  6) This stove produces powerful heating compared to any other oil stove on the market. So, it's good to let it burn completely the last time you use it at the end of the heating season, then thoroughly clean the combustion chamber so that it is ready for the next year. I also recommend changing the wick every year, which costs 10-15 euros. But if you clean it during the heating season, you won't need to change the wick every year; it will last for another year. However, it is good to change the wick every two years at most.

  7) Some people complain about this particular stove because obviously they don't do any of the above, and rightfully so, they complain because they act contrary to their own irresponsibility in following certain rules. If you follow the above, it is a stove that will be passed down as an inheritance to future generations. It is not a coincidence that it is produced this way since the Second World War by the Japanese; they know more than us!

  I bought the stove 15 days ago, so I have the following to say. I have placed it in a single room of 50 square meters. The stove makes the space very warm, giving a sweet warmth like a radiator. When it is turned on and off, the stove smells, but only for a little while. Its negatives are that it is heavy to transport and, of course, that you have to take it outside and put it back in, etc. You can't really call it economical. Although I don't go into the process of analyzing how much it costs exactly to operate the stove for several hours, it takes about 4 20-liter bags of coal per month. It is a not insignificant amount, but you give it little by little and it doesn't seem like much. On the other hand, you can buy a 6-liter bag for 14 euros and get warm immediately with a small cost if you are struggling financially. After all, no form of heating is free. I don't know if it could heat the whole house, which is 96 square meters, maybe, but with a high cost. Anyway, I am generally very satisfied with the purchase and its use. Also, I have no issues with humidity. No condensation on the windows or anything. Those who have issues probably have them because the house itself has humidity and the stove worsens it.   I bought the stove for a 100 sqm house. The space is not unified, but it covers my need for efficient heating. However, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. The stove smells, it is heavy, and expensive to purchase. It consumes a lot of kerosene and you need to use a dehumidifier with it. It is not suitable for indoor use, especially in a house with children. I regret buying it as it is not safe. I have to light it and extinguish it outside. Once, it went out on its own while I was sleeping and the fumes it produces are dangerous. Every 4 days, I need a 40 Euro kerosene refill to burn for approximately 6 hours a day. These are just a few things I wrote, I regret spending my money on it. I wish I could return it and get something else. The advantages are that the stove doesn't break down for many years, but think about your health, not the stove. Stay away, it's a big mistake.

  In a house that smells due to bad windows (old apartment building) around 80 sqm. The stove heats up really well and gives a pleasant feeling in the space. You just have to turn it off outside. Personally, I don't mind the smell when lighting it, it smells slightly for a while and I always light it inside. It needs a dehumidifier with an ionizer for optimal results. Its major drawback is that it burns oil very quickly, so if you have a small square footage house, prefer the Rainbow stove, which burns much less (I have that one too). The other major drawback is its mobility (if you are a petite woman, forget about it) as it is very heavy. The solution, of course, is to build a stand with wheels. It would truly be an excellent heating option if the kerosene fuel imported for this specific heating oil had a significantly lower price for fuel.

  I return to the review after a year of use. Here's what I have to say:
  This stove provides warmth and comfort comparable to that of a radiator. No other stove (and I have tried many) has such efficiency.
  Of course, all of the above comes at a cost, as it consumes 0.7 liters per hour.
  Personally, I only use it in very low temperatures and always as an alternative to the Rainbow stove, which is much more economical (only 0.25 liters per hour).
  Lighting and extinguishing it is done on the balcony to avoid any unpleasant odors.
  The internal combustion of the fuel, as expected, creates excessive humidity in the enclosed space, so I consider the addition of a dehumidifier necessary to prevent walls and ceiling from getting damp.
  I exclusively purchase fuel from the company.
  With proper management, I can say that it is a good purchase.

  TIP: After every three refills, let the stove burn all the fuel to clean the wick. This way, the wick remains like new. It has been four years and I haven't needed to replace it! Also, odorless kerosene is not suitable for this type of stove.

  I have had it for 17 years, yes 17 years. I bought it for my summer house in a seaside area with a lot of humidity and an internal temperature of 6 degrees. In just 5 hours, it reached 19 degrees. Its tank lasts for about 14 hours of continuous operation. Lighting and extinguishing can be done outside the house, so there is no smell. If someone uses it for 5 hours a day, it lasts almost 3 days, with a cost of 11 euros for the three days of genuine kerosene. Now, of course, I brought it to Athens because there is no central heating like before, and luckily because the heaters and radiators, along with the tax, blew up the bank.

  Another positive thing among the many it has is that the house takes a long time to cool down and easily covers 80 to 100 square meters with normal insulation. I have been using it for 20 years and this year the price of oil dropped, so depending on the kerosene, my stove will keep us warm this winter because I don't have 1000 euros saved up for radiators.

  I encountered a problem on 15/01/2016, the flame wouldn't go above the disk even though the wick was new. I thought, "Oh, after 20 years, is it suddenly giving up?" It turned out that it was the kerosene's fault. I made the mistake of using the odorless one [as if the other one smelled], but this specific stove doesn't burn it, the wick gets clogged. So, I switched back to the regular kerosene, and my stove is working perfectly again.

  We have reached 22 years and my stove is still going strong. I had it serviced for the first time, costing 34 euros for the wick, lighter, etc. After all these years, it still performs well, and I love it.
