The best money I have ever spent in my life! It started a dead car battery (VW GOLF IV 1.4) as if it was nothing!! The day before yesterday, my friend's engine broke down on the road, I went with the machine and of course it started immediately! Words are unnecessary, just take it with closed eyes and don't worry about battery issues!
Stopped charging after 2 years of use, cannot be repaired, wasted 100€. Unacceptable, a friend bought a Chinese one for 30€ and has been using it for over 5 years without any issues, while I bought a branded one for 100€ and it's already garbage after two years.
Very good starter!
Due to conditions, the car is immobilized for several months resulting in the battery draining. Specifically, after a 2-month stop, the car had no battery even to unlock. Using the bypass function, the car started right up as if I had put in a new battery!
Simply perfect... Because I have many vehicles, I use it frequently.
Over 30 starts with one charge. I have had it since 2018, six years. Like new. It resurrects the dead. The best purchase ever.
I have it for about 1.5 months. After charging it (took about 3 hours), I left it in the car. I needed to use it twice in other people's cars: the first time in a known BMW 116i, which started immediately, and the second time in an unknown Opel Corsa diesel (which was left in the parking lot of Lidl in Paeania), which needed about 30 seconds on the battery to start. I have never charged it again since the first charge and the indicator shows 100%. Note that the Corsa diesel did not start with jumper cables and another car's battery (the engine didn't even turn). I was told that diesel cars are difficult to start.
Overall, I am satisfied despite its high price of €94.9 at that time and €108 now, and I recommend it. Because the car I have now is a 1.4 diesel, if I were to buy it today, I would choose the next model (40). Nevertheless, it did its job even in a diesel car.
Apart from being very expensive, it comes without a charger. If you try to charge it with a regular 0.5 Amp charger, it will take 18 hours to charge, if the charger doesn't burn out first. In order to charge it relatively quickly, in 4 hours that is, you need a 2 Amp charger, which costs at least 40 euros. Therefore, it is not...
I have used it multiple times on an old Fiat Panda with a dead battery - no voltage detected. It has worked every time. I have only charged it once and it is still almost full.
The purchase was made on August 2nd. I charged it and left it in the drawer for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, it needed to be used 7 to 8 times for different cars, within a span of 10 days. One of them must have been running on the battery for at least 2 weeks.
They started right away without any problem, the battery is at 3/4.
It's worth the money!
In a Fiat Punto 99' which is sensitive to rain, cold air, and freezing temperatures, I have experienced at least 5-6 times from January until today that it wouldn't start. I simply connected it and turned the key, and that was it. I didn't have to wait or struggle anywhere, and the battery holds its charge. With so many times I have used it and only one charge, the battery level is full with all the lights on. When you buy Made in USA, I think you can be a little more reassured, and that was evident in practice!
UPDATE 25-08-23: The starter has not been used since April. However, even though I had it in the trunk of the car all summer with the heat under the sun, the battery still has 2 bars filled out of the 4, which means it is 50+%.
***Important note*** When it was purchased in January, the supplier called me and informed me that before using it for the first time, it should be fully charged, and it is necessary for the battery to function correctly.
UPDATE 30-01-24: Same as the previous update. It has not been used since April of last year, and the battery is at approximately the same level, meaning there are 3 bars visible when opened.
The best thing that is available, I think, is small, powerful, and easy to use. No more stress if I run out of battery, wherever I am, as long as it is charged every six months, it is enough. And it always charges mobile phones and tablets in the car, wherever and whenever you want. I think it is necessary for every car. The only downside is that the case is sold separately. Simply perfect. There is a video on YouTube!
Very reliable. With a dead battery, it started the car multiple times in a row until I was able to replace it, without having to charge it in between. It has a battery level indicator and it saved me a lot of trouble.
He has managed it three or four times just fine.
Only once on a completely drained battery of 52, so he didn't make it. A roadside assistance of the same brand came with a bigger starter and the problem was solved.
I chose the Yamaha 125 because of its weak battery. I have ridden it 7 times without any issues. It requires 40 liters of petrol, but I have the 20GB version
He started the 400cc twin-cylinder chopper-type engine 15 times and had to stay on the bike to ride because the rectifier did not provide power to the battery and also did not hold power to the spark plugs. So he rode for five kilometers using the starter as the main power source for the engine and then, of course, it ran out. In other words, in a moment of need, he started the engine so many times and provided power to the bike to go to the repair shop.
Recent purchase - used only once so far, with absolute success. It is not one of the cheapest on the market (~94 euros), but I consider it a very good solution, as I had an incident with a car parked in the garage and it was impossible to jump-start it with my cables. Additionally, if you are on the road, you don't have to search for another available car.
Furthermore, it functions as a power bank and a flashlight, both particularly useful.
I recommend it (without being able to compare it to other market options).
Update: when I tried to use it for the second time, I plugged it in for charging and it didn't fully charge. I sent it back to the company and after several days of waiting, they sent me a new jump starter.
In a v-strom 650cc motorcycle that I tested with a completely "dead" battery, it started immediately....and not just once, but seven times. I am impressed by the product. And the headlight, in case you run out of battery, is powerful enough for passing cars to see you and not run into you at night.
I highly recommend it.
must have... guys, it started a car that had been sitting with a dead battery in 1". No more cables, no more maneuvering, no more searching for the neighbor. It's also a power bank, charges ANYTHING more than once
The machine was purchased for starting a C3 car (1,200 cc). The car had been stationary for several months and had a completely dead battery. In normal mode, the GB20 did not recognize the battery as it had reached the bottom, but with the first attempt in manual override mode, the car started right away. I'm not used to writing reviews, but I believe that a tool like this can save you in many situations where you can easily find yourself in a very difficult position (it also has a USB out to function as a power bank + LED lights). I don't consider it a good purchase, but rather an investment.
Today, 18/2/2021, it was tested.
Purchased on 12/1/2021. It has been fully charged since then. Today, it is still fully charged.
The 307 (1.6 Petrol) took once and never took again. The GB20 saved the situation in 1 second! It still shows full.
We will see how long it will last.
Very good purchase!
UPDATE 19/6/2022: Whenever I have needed it (and in other cars), it has done its job. Still working perfectly fine. When fully charged, it handles 4 starts (at least) just fine.
Before buying it, I had done an online market research where everyone had a very high opinion of it. I used it once on a Yaris 1.3 with a dead battery of one month and in the middle of snowfall.
It started immediately without any hesitation and without even using the "special" bypass function.
Update 21.02.21
I tried it on a Mitsubishi Colt that had been immobile for 6 months in a yard. The battery was completely dead. It didn't start with the regular starter function, so I used the bypass function.
The car started in 30 seconds. Honestly, I couldn't believe that it would work, but this machine works wonders. Highly recommended.
Very convenient, easy to use, absolutely necessary in my opinion. I have had it for 1 year and have only used it twice on 1200 cc and 1400 cc cars. It is still 100% charged (I have only charged it once) and the cars started immediately. Completely satisfied.
I bought it by chance. I don't know which brands are good and which are not.
It was the store near my house, and because I ran out of battery, I proceeded with a click away purchase. My car is a Passat 1.4.
It was out of operation for 4 months. The doors didn't even open with the computer. Also, a Vstrom 650 was unused for about 3 months. Both dead.
After the device finished charging, without the Boost, with simple use, I connected the cables to the car battery, opened the device, and left it for 1 minute (it doesn't need that long but as a precaution).
The car started right away. The same with the motorcycle with a completely dead battery.
The paradox? The device still has a full battery. It could probably charge a whole village of cars.
Guys, we're talking about tools that we should always have with us. I regret not buying it for so long.
It's worth every penny you will spend.
Highly recommended.
I charged it for 8 hours with an iqos charger until the green indicator turned on. I connected it to my car battery (45Ah), left it for 20 seconds, and started the car immediately. The car had been immobilized for 4 days (it wouldn't start). Very good!!!
I have had it for over a year, I bought it from Greece for 103 euros. I had it permanently on my motorcycle for six months without clamps, connected only with the rings permanently on the battery, as I had a problem with a gel battery. I started it six times a day for six months. I charged it three times during these six months with daily use. The machine, with 700 cc, only started with the jump starter. Incredible! It has started a Toyota Corolla with a dead engine and a dead battery, using a battery that was revived after two days in a special charger. Excellent quality, it has a flashlight on top and very simple operation. It has small clamps to fit into the engine. I mainly bought it for this purpose, but I have also used it on a car with 50, 70, and 90 amps, and it can easily lift it, I believe, in amperes. These are real events.
