Aeropress device. A unique coffee brewing tool based on an innovative method. It highlights the taste and aromas of the coffee. Suitable for brewing filter coffee and espresso.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
If we exclude the fact that it requires a bit more time to prepare the coffee, it is one of the top coffee brewing tools, with the main feature being the ability to customize additional parameters that affect the result, such as brewing time and water temperature. In combination with a grinder that allows for size adjustment, one can achieve at least a satisfactory result, as long as they dedicate the appropriate time for experimentation.
I believe that up to 100€ it's not worth getting anything else to make coffee. It can work wonders and has many recipes that one can experiment with. I have made a lot of coffees in the 5 years I have it, and it hasn't had any issues. From freddo espresso to simple French coffee, all coffees bring out their aroma better than a machine in the 80€ range (tested with Sitio Guarita un.common and Duchess Classic Blend, and both came out with minimal aroma and flavor in the machine). I believe it's better to go for the go version, which is more portable and has a cup underneath. I mainly use the inverted method for the coffees and I grind the beans myself.
Easy to use, durable (practically unbreakable), portable, low volume...as advertised! One of the best coffee brewing devices on the market! Together with a manual coffee grinder, you make the preparation of fresh (specialty) coffee a daily experience!
I use it for espresso. For better taste results, it requires hot water, not cold. It makes amazing foam. Super convenient for use at the office or on vacation. When buying coffee, mention that you use a manual machine with a paper filter to grind the coffee correctly.
Interesting variation on the classic coffee maker and "plunger".
Easy to use, a little more hassle compared to the plunger, but I clearly find the result better: A somewhat heavier but more enjoyable filtered coffee.
For you who searched to find it, it's worth its money (~30€). Many different recipes to try with the proper coffee grind, easy to clean. The only divisive thing is that compared to the V60, you can't make larger quantities of single-serve filter coffee.
I think the best coffee I have ever had is from this tool.
Recently, I bought an espresso machine only to end up going back to the aeropress.
Simply wonderful. I still use it and I still have the paper filters from the original packaging. Exactly because it has a filter for French press, it doesn't leave any residue in the cup, like the other plungers.
Due to work, I used it daily but also for personal use now. Very satisfied, user-friendly, convenient without many requirements. With a good blend and the right grind, you get an excellent coffee quickly and almost everywhere.
Very good coffee maker! It is easily portable, it does not break (it is plastic) and if you learn to use it with coarse ground coffee beans, you get very good results!
Extremely convenient and portable. I take it everywhere with me, on vacations, to work, and at home. It makes excellent coffee using various methods. The Aeropress also "forgives" mistakes in grinding or water temperature. It is definitely worth the price and more. This is my second one, I have had the first one permanently at work since 2014 and it is still working perfectly. I make 2 coffees per day, 5 days per week and it hasn't had any issues, neither the press nor the rubber (of course, I wash it and store it correctly after each coffee preparation). It is recommended as an affordable but extremely portable and convenient solution for making quality coffee.
Very convenient to use. The result in my opinion is superior to that of a regular coffee maker. The fact that you can have it everywhere with a few small accessories is a big advantage. It produces very good filtered coffee and espresso, the surprise was that it also makes cold brew! Overall, a very good choice!
In the last year, I started to be dissatisfied with capsule machines mainly because I got used to good coffee in a package.
I tried to switch to a briki, but the coffee was too bitter. I tried to fill capsules, but the coffee was too sour.
I finally decided to get a Graef grinder and an Aeropress until I get a lelit espresso machine or something similar.
I really don't know if I want to get the espresso machine anymore! Don't get me wrong, a proper espresso is perfect, but the ease and speed of the Aeropress for the result it gives are even more perfect.
I haven't been so impressed with the coffee I make with this, but the point is that I can make coffee anywhere I am...
I didn't notice that it doesn't come with the bag packaging...
Anyway, I regret not getting the togo
I have been using the aeropress for about a year now. I have tried chemex and v60. The aeropress is by far the most consistent but also easy to use at the same time (you don't need a special kettle to do a circular water pour like the other two I mentioned) you just pour water in and stir. There are endless recipes and ratios, personally I would recommend the inverted method, 18g of coffee with a grind size like sand, 200g of water at 95° and bloom for 1'30''.
I have a coffee pot, a French press, and an espresso machine. I drink the best coffee by far with this. However, be careful, avoid the inverted method. I burned my hands!!!
Nice gadget for making coffee in a different way when you have time. It accepts coffee in almost any grind size (with different taste results each time, of course). You can experiment with extraction times, coffee grams, plunger pressure, and water temperature for different results. I simply put two spoonfuls of coffee from the dosing spoon it comes with, add hot water, press the plunger, and drink coffee. The intensity of the coffee, I think it's something between espresso and French press.
Convenient after a few tests. Very good in terms of result, the variety of recipes one can try, and the quality-price ratio compared to other home coffee makers, especially when combined with a grinder and quality coffee. The only drawback is its capacity.
The best coffee I have made at home. It is worth combining it with a coffee grinder (a cheap manual one is more than enough). Truly impressive device.
It is impressive how such a simple construction can have such remarkable results. The coffee comes out particularly rich. Additionally, the size and weight are ideal for transportation (thus perfect for travels). In order to operate, it requires hot water (meaning preparation with a kettle is necessary).
Fantastic coffee, of quality and cleanliness, espresso, and with an extremely minimal cost per coffee. As for the other coffee amateurs with capsules and expensive machines... Goodbye!
