The second edition of Comparative Anatomy of Domestic Mammals, unlike the first edition, focuses solely on the form and gross structure of the organs of these mammals, namely equidae, ruminantia, sus scrofa domestica, and carnivora. The ruminants, in particular, are referred to in the text as large ruminants (bos, cow, bos taurus) and small ruminants (sheep, ovis aries, and goat, capra hircus). This distinction, artificial and therefore without any scientific basis, is made exclusively for practical reasons.

The improved content of this textbook has been rewritten from scratch to adapt to the modern Greek language. At the same time, every effort has been made to keep it concise, yet equally comprehensive and useful to the student, the graduate, or even to scientific - and medical research in general.

The selection of basic knowledge and its development in the simplest possible way has been the main concern in presenting the new edition. However, I believe that other important factors contributing to the successful writing of a book, such as clarity, good language style, illustration, material arrangement, and printing, have not been neglected.
