I have had it for 2 years (x series) the machine does not jam anywhere, it works professionally on wild vegetation for over 8 continuous hours and for several days of continuous use. I use it with a 4.5 oval string and it doesn't struggle at all. The only perhaps negative thing is its weight··it just needs a good cleaning and it never breaks down

I combined it with Stihl CF 3 Pro 3.3mm line and I was very satisfied. Easy start, very fuel-efficient and well balanced, despite its weight (of course it is 50.2 cc). Its power cannot be compared to any other machine from another company and it is also the most value for money machine. It starts very easily thanks to the Easy Start system and its anti-vibration is the best. I use it with Amsoi Saber mixed oil from the first start. The only drawback is that it is a bit heavy. It has a 5-year warranty and is manufactured entirely in Japan. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a machine that does not give them trouble and stops whenever they want, not because of the machine.

I used the brushcutter blade in front, it did the job but it was uncomfortable, resulting in back pain because I was bent over and not getting enough work done in a day. I decided to buy a brushcutter since I have to deal with wild vegetation. I was looking for a purchase with installments because I wanted to buy something good but not cash. I ended up buying this because everyone I talked to told me that the key is the attachment and the proper positioning on you to work more comfortably. In the end, the attachment is quite good quality and the machine is quite powerful, I do not regret the purchase, it is economical on fuel and I found it quite comfortable to use, I emphasize again for wild vegetation and not grass.

This is somewhat mitigated when you perfectly adjust the strap, which I must say also has unnecessary weight. Otherwise, it is very powerful, it does not get tangled in the grass, it literally mows it. One negative point I will mention is that the factory automatic head is meant for trimming hair, meaning it is useless as it does not accept thick lines. I went and bought the Echo one which accepts up to 4.0 lines and I have to say it is very difficult to use and you cannot wrap enough line inside because it gets stuck afterwards.

Did you find this review helpful?I wanted a second trimmer mainly to give my Kawasaki TH48 a rest, but also to have one with a shredder and one with a blade so that I don't have to change the work time. Being familiar with the Echo brand as I have 3 chainsaws from them and they are all excellent, I decided to get this particular trimmer. I won't say that I was disappointed, but I definitely expected something better. The fact that it is heavy didn't bother me at all, but as a Kawasaki owner, the bar is set very high and maybe that's why it didn't seem anything special to me.
-Excessive fuel consumption

-The filter and pre-filter are positioned in a way that requires constant cleaning, otherwise it gets clogged and doesn't work properly
-The noise it makes will drive you crazy if you don't wear headphones.
-Not as powerful as they say, I really wonder about some comments, but still, the power it has is sufficient, especially with the blade, not with the wheel.
-The handle is somewhat strange and takes many hours to get used to.+Made in Japan

They do not get stuck anywhere, they are very economical in consumption and very high quality. Especially the 520 compared to the 420, apart from being more powerful, it is also more economical in terms of consumption. So far, no service, no problems, no damages... I forgot about the mechanic and I have peace of mind that it will not leave me in the middle of work. I now have the Chinese-Swedish Husqvarna and the Chinese-German Stihl as backups and I have started selling some of them, especially the chainsaws.

Fuel economy is very good, and the build quality is excellent. I highly recommend it for stronger tasks, like the BLC 580, but it is more expensive and the design of the head does not allow the grass to block it. The head has a system that provides a lot of torque through the gears. The harness is amazing, you don't feel the weight, but make sure to grease the shaft and move the head and use only Husqvarna LS+ oil, with a dosage of 100 ml in 4 liters of gasoline. Did you find this review helpful?Predecessor of the Stihl fs85. The two cannot be compared because they belong to different categories. Completely satisfied with the Stihl, but because it was small for the job I needed it for, it tired me out a lot.
The 520 is simply a beast. I don't have a comparison image from a similar Stihl or Husqvarna. But this one is unbeatable. For its performance, its weight is satisfactory, as it gets a lot of work done in a short amount of time. I use it with a four-way attachment and I put double 4mm line on it. With these, it cuts everything (weeds, bushes, even removes suckers from olive trees) and they wear relatively slowly.
I don't have a comparison for fuel consumption with a similar one.
The ECHO harness is simply amazing. It distributes the weight throughout the body and you don't feel anything on your shoulders or back.
It comes with an automatic trimmer head, triple blade, and the harness.
Because it is extremely powerful, it requires a lot of attention because it throws whole stones, not just gravel.
A sturdy apron, gloves, a mask with a net, glasses, and ear protection are necessary.
