Dior Fahrenheit.. Definitely one of the few fragrances that changed the map of the aromatic universe with its arrival. I'm talking about the Eau de Toilette. One of my biggest obsessions.. Countless bottles until 20 years ago when I noticed a slight change in composition and longevity and decided to move on.. Even today, however, it holds a privileged place in my heart.. But the review is about the Parfum.

About Fahrenheit perfume then.. The opening features leather as the star note. A bit rough with a hint of liquor.. This lasts about half an hour.. After the half-hour mark, you begin to discern the connection with its predecessor progressively. Excellent overall. Woody spicy, leather wrapped in a warm, loving, top-quality vanilla embrace and sprinkled with rum. The variations are distinct. The Parfum is not the same as the Eau de Toilette.. But fortunately, there are clear references to the original.

⭕ Longevity: We're talking about 12+... For example: Applied fragrance at 6:30 PM... I kept smelling it and continued to smell it.. I went to sleep. I woke up in the morning, took a shower, applied another fragrance, and left for work. This has never happened before.. Instead of smelling the fragrance I applied in the morning, I smelled Fahrenheit.. The conclusions are yours.. (Of course, skin with skin differs..)

What can one say and what can one first write about this BEHEMOTH? Whatever we say is little! When it first appeared, it was already 20 years ahead of its time, creating an entire "school"! Dozens of others tried to imitate it, but NO ONE succeeded. As a fragrance, it is UNIQUE and terrifyingly complex, resulting in it being UNREPRODUCIBLE. It is a heavy, purely masculine scent, despite the fact that it opens with a sweet floral sensation that is simply iconic. Then it changes, and the presence of leather and cedar becomes noticeable, without completely losing the presence of clove and jasmine. Longevity... GREAT! Over 8 hours, with its aura lingering even after 12 hours. Projection? It is impossible not to notice your presence within reasonable limits, however. Overall, a UNIQUE fragrance and one of the HUGE successes of the house of Dior.

I have to say that I love the classic one, which I have wonderful memories of. Unfortunately, they discontinued it and suggested that I try Le perfume, which is the same but stronger. No, it's not the same on my nose at all. Nevertheless, if someone sees it as an independent fragrance, I would say that it is a nice scent with good longevity and moderate projection. Maybe I am biased because of the old one, but the LE is definitely a more modern fragrance. However, personally, when I hear Fahrenheit, I don't want a modern profile, but the classic old one. So, if you believe that it is a stronger Fahrenheit, then no, it's not. But if you want a nice scent with modern touches, give it a try.

My girlfriend gave it to me as a gift in 1989, just before I left for the army, and it came with the book "Perfume" by Patrick Süskind (which was also made into a movie a few years ago). I smelled it by chance as a teenager, early 90s. I asked what it was called and since then it has been my favorite.
