Plant-based table sweetener from the Stevia plant. It has the appearance and taste of sugar! It is white, crystalline, and in terms of taste, it is neither too sweet nor bitter.
It combines extract from Stevia leaves with erythritol. Erythritol comes from the natural fermentation of fruits or vegetables and is the only sweetening substance with zero calories.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
The product is a mixture of stevia at a ratio of 0.5% and erythritol at 99.5%. Given that stevia is 300 times sweeter than sugar, the product contains a small percentage of it. If the product were 100% stevia, we would only need a pinhead amount in our coffee, which would make it very expensive and impractical. Erythritol is a sweetener similar to xylitol (polyols) and is also used to add volume to the product. The only issue with it (when consumed in normal quantities) is that it is mentioned that in many products it comes from genetically modified corn. I don't know about this specific product, but regardless, GMOs have entered the food cycle from everywhere. The taste is very good. Perhaps it would be more accurate to call it stevia/erythritol, but stevia has become very popular in recent years, so I believe it is also a marketing issue.
Erythritol abundant and 0.5% steviol glycosides (it says on the box). Well, it's not stevia (0 stars). It's misleading. It's to deceive ourselves because of cursed sugar. It tastes good in hot drinks. Only consume 3-4 teaspoons per day, not more.
Wasted money and it's also an expensive product. Zero sweetness and at the same time it alters the taste of coffee. Lessons are learned.
For the percentages of Erythritol/Stevia, others have already mentioned it so I won't repeat the same. Practically, due to the cost, it's not worth it. As a taste, it is very good, quite close to sugar at least compared to other products I have tried. On the plus side, Erythritol is one of the safest sweeteners one can use. Personally, I use it as follows: First of all, I use it only for my moderate espresso coffee. When I used sugar, I would add a spoonful of it. Now I add half a spoon of this sweetener, and I add a drop of the 60ml Slim Fix that I had bought thinking it was Stevia, but unfortunately it is saccharin with traces of Stevia. Comparatively, Erythritol is a much safer sweetener than saccharin but I believe one drop won't do any harm and is enough to give a little extra sweetness for economy in quantity.
It is very expensive for erythritol... It has good taste, yes, it is almost like sugar. I used to break it down and add half a spoonful of black. But in terms of sweetness, it is zero. I drink two coffees a day and sweet ones. This means that I used to add 3 full spoons of stevia and half a black one to achieve the desired result. However, I wanted about 1 kilogram of stevia in about 2 weeks. Economically, it is not worth it at all for anyone who drinks sweet coffee and does not want sugar. Look for other options with more normal prices and real sweetness. This stevia is simply a joke!!
I give it 3 stars only because it is noticeably less sweet compared to another brand of stevia that I have tried. Using the same amount, it doesn't have even half the effect. Although it claims that one spoonful sweetens the same as one spoonful of sugar, for the price it has, it's not worth it. I will try another brand.
It does not have at all the characteristic sweetness of stevia and in coffee I have to use exactly the same amount of spoons as with sugar (!!!!!), so it finishes very quickly and I have to constantly buy an expensive product. We can't work like this.
If it had real stevia in sufficient quantity (and not traces of it),
then a very small amount of the product (not even a spoonful) would be enough to do the job.
I have been using this stevia (with erythritol as its main ingredient) for several years because I find it has the best taste. I have used it in cakes, cookies, creams, and it is very good.
Very good sugar substitute. It may have a little stevia, but it doesn't change the taste like other similar products. It is the only one I use for coffee and sweets.
To be honest, due to a health issue, I had to completely remove sugar from my diet. I am a sugar consumer, adding 4 teaspoons of sugar to a 450ml frappe, so a considerable amount! I tried several sugar substitutes before settling on this one, in which, as I read that the ratio was 1:1, I used the same proportion and it turned out sweeter than I expected! I am thrilled with the product because even though it is clearly more expensive, I will need less quantity, so I will find it gradually! As for the taste, it really has no difference from sugar, absolutely none, and furthermore, even though I "overdid" the amount in my first try, it did not leave any metallic or bitter taste, nor did it alter the taste of my coffee, which is usually done with sweeteners, just a sensation of sweetness, just like regular everyday sugar! Now, if you want something syrupy, Deligios Greek Sweets, which is used to make desserts, will be my next purchase for a sweet tooth like me!
It is proven and by Mayo Clinic the best one circulating in Greece.
It does not contain the substances erythritol and dextrose which are better to be avoided
0 calories, sugar ratio 1:1 which makes it extremely easy to use in any recipe! Perfect taste. No one can tell the difference between this and sugar in any sweet I've made. No difference in coffee either. And above all, it's healthy!
For those who are not familiar, and since I have researched the subject of stevia extensively, it goes as follows: Stevia as an ingredient is 300 times sweeter than sugar, so you cannot use it on its own because you would have to use 1/300th of a spoonful. Therefore, out of all the stevias that necessarily have a second ingredient in order to be consumed at home and not in a laboratory, I prefer this one with erythritol (an ingredient derived from fruits and vegetables). Now, regarding the 1:1 ratio, because I have also tried stevia with erythritol in ratios of 1:3 and 1:2, you should know that they are never 2 or 3 times sweeter (maybe 1.5 at best) and they also taste more bitter in coffee and leave a somewhat metallic aftertaste (at least for me).
Tragic product, terrible taste without me being someone who seeks taste. This product manages to ruin the taste wherever it goes. I have no words...don't even consider it!
Not worth it! I drink sweet coffee with 2.5 sugars and I thought that one spoonful of stevia is like 5 sugars, so I put half and it came out almost plain! I made another coffee, put 2.5 and it was just as sweet as with 2.5 sugars! So, for this reason, it's not worth it! €15 per kilo! Ridiculous!
This is a product that primarily contains erythritol and only 0.5% stevia...the product is unacceptable as it uses stevia leaves as a symbol while containing a minimal amount...
In terms of sweetness, it's terrible...three spoons in a cup of tea and the drink is still extremely bitter...unfortunately, in a country where the law is not enforced, anyone is allowed to sell a product with supposedly renowned stevia leaves as a symbol while packaging erythritol and at an unjustifiably high price...
By far the best, not bitter, you can use it in cooking, if you search, you can find good prices in s/m
Very good product that does what it promises: Zero calories and excellent sugar substitute. It doesn't have any strange smell nor does it change the taste in coffee like similar products.
Amazing stevia, I have tried them all and it is by far the best !!!!!!!!!! It's like sugar, it just takes longer to dissolve in cold coffee
Very good stevia in sweetness and behavior in sweet making. It replaces sugar perfectly! However, for someone like me who makes all their sweets with stevia, its price is not worth it since it is 1:1.
