It does what it promises without much fuss. OK, it could close by itself instead of beeping that it's ready, but at 17 euros you can't have high expectations for either build quality or "smart" features. It's worth the money.

The cooking depends on the amount of water, and it stops AFTER it evaporates and exceeds a temperature of 100 degrees at its base. The notification is annoying and cheap, and additionally, as soon as it cools a little, it starts again to reheat, etc. Of course, the residues that fall from the surface of the egg during boiling along with the salts create a mud, so it requires frequent cleaning and wiping with vinegar, etc. An electronic timer with a timer to start at the desired time is what is needed. They don't cost anything, they just chose to do it in the cheapest way possible. It worked perfectly with 4XL eggs!
So, these past two days, this product has been a great help to me in the following ways:
1. I don't have to constantly check the time to take them out at the specific boiling point that I prefer.
2. There is a sound notification, which is not as loud as some describe it to be.
3. The water level indicator has markings not only for the three boiling points but also for the quantity of eggs you want to boil. This feature was very useful because it saved me the trouble of doing trial and error! For XL eggs, the water quantity was not perfectly accurate, but it was relatively close to the markings. I believe this indicator will be more precise for regular-sized eggs.
4. The cup of the water dispenser has a spike at the bottom, making it easy to pierce the eggs, as I used to struggle with a needle before.
5. Cleaning is relatively easy with a few drops of vinegar in some water and wiping it with a towel, and it shines.
6. There is no smell on my eggs, and it doesn't leave any plastic aftertaste because of the plastic parts of the device. Considering the number of eggs I eat, I would be bothered by any foreign smell or taste if there were any.
7. It can fit XL-sized eggs perfectly.
This is the first time I have purchased such a product, and I have no experience with similar devices, but I dare say that it is very helpful, and personally, I think it is worth more than €17.
Only time will tell how long it will last with continuous and daily use. It did indeed boil the eggs perfectly fine (only 1 broke because I didn't use the needle). The issue is that the eggs had a plastic taste! What I didn't consider is that the device heats up and is completely plastic. I didn't use it again because I want my eggs to be PBA free... Also, I can't give it to someone else because this device is not hygienic.
