Well, it needed descaling before I even made the first coffee and I didn't buy it used... I descaled it three times and there were still signs of salt... I tried for 2 weeks to make a "proper" coffee... in the end, I realized that it doesn't even heat the first 10 ml, so you have to throw them away and put another filter in to keep the coffee properly heated... which will still have a slight burnt taste that will disappear in 5 minutes... I have tried all the ready-made espressos available in supermarkets, but I haven't tried freshly ground coffee from a coffee shop yet... the tamper doesn't fit inside if you want to make only coffee because it is designed to get stuck in the double measuring cup... in order to be able to tamp only coffee, I had to file down the tamper and reduce its diameter... it's not even worth going through all this trouble for 50 to 100 euros that you would like to save... get something with 100-150 euros and you will be very satisfied with the results... 50 wasted euros, I do not recommend the First Austria, stay away... I bought it because I saw good comments from others...
