According to what I wanted
The bad thing is that I have to go through a whole process to charge it. I have to find the cable to connect it to the iPad, then find the adapter to connect the cable, and all of that together... a whole process. And also, the charge doesn't last long. After a while, you have to charge it again. The positives are that it is sturdy. It has a very good tip and feel when you are drawing.
I have used it a lot over the last 2-3 years, mainly for notes and studying but also for drawing. It is very good, easy to write with, charges quickly and lasts for days, and I haven't needed to change the tip all this time. Obviously, it is a bit heavier than a regular pen and it doesn't have buttons on it to control the writing style, etc., these have to be adjusted from the iPad.
It may cost you a bit with the purchase, but it is definitely worth it. It is the best pen I have ever tried
I bought the Apple pencil for professional use (illustration on Procreate). I can say that I am satisfied with the purchase, it delivers what it promises.
A very good tool for professionals and amateurs.
Its only negative is that the tip of the pencil (Apple tips) has completely worn out in three months.
UPDATE (11/2024): It does not work well in recognizing the German language.

Very good! I got it for educational purposes.
The NEBO app (https://www.nebo.app/) converts your handwriting into Greek text, which you can then convert to WORD or PDF so your notes are not lost. It's impressive that it recognizes words regardless of the handwriting style and displays the handwriting as if you are writing on paper. It offers many features beyond just writing. Apple, you would give half a kidney to have it!!! But for me, who works effortlessly with procreate10/10.
Good construction materials, good battery life, charges quickly, and feels like you're holding something very expensive (which it is at €124.14), something very premium and beautiful but...
...it's very uncomfortable to write with, it slips, the tapping on the screen when writing is quite loud, it's too long and heavy, which you realize after a few hours of use, and its shape makes it very uncomfortable to hold, at least for me.
In conclusion, if I were, for example, a student who needed to use the Apple pencil extensively, then I might look for another compatible stylus if there is one. If I'm not interested in the compatibility of Apple applications for use on the iPad, then I wouldn't even consider buying another stylus other than Apple's. If someone needs the stylus to write down a number or for small notes on PDF documents, they may not be bothered by the negatives I mentioned earlier.
I bought it for the 9th generation iPad.
It paired easily.
I bought it because I create in iPages.
I had been using a cheap pen that kept breaking, so I decided to get the Apple Pencil.
Either I don't know how to use it yet or I completely wasted my money.
In programs where you write by hand and it converts to text, it doesn't recognize Greek (so what's the point?) and it's not useful for anything else besides writing and creating (meaning you can't select an image in the text and move it).
As soon as you touch the Apple Pencil to the iPad, it starts writing (meaning it's not useful as a pen!!!).
It might be perfect for some, but for me who wanted it for a different use, I feel like I wasted my money.
Excellent pen and great value for money. It has very good responsiveness and is extremely convenient to use. The construction quality is fantastic and the battery life is also very good. I highly recommend it!
The only slight complaint I have is that it doesn't magnetically attach to the tablet like the second generation pencil, but if you get a case with a space for it, you're covered.
Very good and delivers on its promises with perfect response. It doesn't tire the hand and charges relatively quickly. It loses one star due to its price.
So, in order not to be ungrateful, the pen is perfect. But it has one negative aspect. It breaks easily. I had bought the pen for school and used it daily. One day, however, it simply wouldn't connect and I was forced to get another one from switcheasy. About two months later, when I tried to charge the pen again, it worked normally.
It has quite good accuracy and sensitivity in the tip. Its battery doesn't last long, but it charges extremely fast when connected to the iPad itself. The only significant issue I encounter is when the iPad shuts down (due to battery, for example) and when I turn off and on the Bluetooth, it can't pair, so I have to plug it into the iPad port for it to be recognized.
Because I have both the first generation and the second, my first one seems superior for some strange reason (You feel it more quality in your hand). Apple does not fall behind anywhere
A very good accessory and more, those who get it for work and not just to have it will appreciate it better. Excellent product with tremendous accuracy and lightning-fast response. Full charge in less than 20 minutes. Ideal for drawing or whiteboard use. It could definitely be cheaper.
An excellent accessory for the iPad that I use for creating and editing notes, and for children's drawing. The battery lasts for about 8 hours of use. It's a bit expensive, but worth it.
Simply perfect, as the name suggests, apple.
The only downside... a bit expensive, I would prefer it if it was priced at €70 instead of the €91 that I paid for it.
I bought an iPad 8th gen 2020 and paired it with an Apple Pencil 1st gen. After watching many YouTube videos, I was afraid that the pencil would have a delay that would bother me while writing (and since the main reason for this purchase was for note-taking, it was important). I have to tell you that the pencil has no delay at all, writes incredibly well, and has a very fast response. It charges in about 30 minutes and the battery lasts 1-1.5 days (I write almost all day). The only "negative" is the way the pencil connects to the iPad, which is by connecting the top end of the pencil to the charging port of the iPad. However, if you simply turn on Bluetooth on the iPad, most of the time it works with the pencil without the need for the above process. If you are thinking of buying the pencil, don't even think about it.
Using the iPad Pro 9.7 is a delightful experience!
2. Obviously, it's a must-have if you have an iPad that requires the 1st gen pencil. Otherwise, there are cheaper alternatives out there.
3. The price of €99 that I got it for from a major retailer hurt a little, but at least it's an excellent product.
The tips wear out quickly, the charging method is inconvenient, and it's overpriced for what it offers. After my experience with the Apple pencil 1, I would definitely prefer a different brand.
I have had it in my possession since December and I mainly use it for tele-education. Four months later, I can say that it is worth every euro! Essentially, I have turned my iPad into a Whiteboard, while also taking notes on my files during lessons. Especially for educators, I consider it not only helpful but necessary. It has an incredible response, simulating the writing process perfectly, and when combined with a Paperlike for screen protection, it faithfully reproduces the writing experience on paper.
It charges very quickly (I calculated that it fully charges in 20 minutes with the charger provided in the package directly to the lightning cable and not to the iPad charging port), while it did not show any connection-disconnection problems.
For now, I have nothing negative to attribute to it. Otherwise, I will come back to point it out.

It's wonderful. If someone decides to make this purchase, they won't regret it. It could be an exceptional tool or simply a small luxury.
I have had the pencil since November and I use it on an iPad mini. It is a very good tool, easily surpassing other tablets on the market. It has a special attachment for charging from the wall and not just on the tablet. Satisfactory battery life. The only small issue I have is that I am used to holding traditional pencils from afar and when I do it, it holds it as if I am touching it from the side... so it definitely takes some getting used to. With the right program, however, very good results. It has fallen a few times and nothing happened. It really offers what it says and you gradually forget that you are working on a screen. Therefore, convenient, durable, user-friendly. I highly recommend it.
Excellent in every application I use it for. It has made my PC useless, as I write everything by hand and with minimal effort, it can be transformed into any document format I want. When combined with a surface like paperlike, it offers a new user experience.

It was worth the money!
If your budget supports it, buy it yesterday! If you use it for work, I don't even discuss it! I've had it for a month now and I do everything with it. My notes on anything else make no sense anymore. I don't have 500 notebooks to lose my pen and not remember where I wrote what. I charge it once a week when it reaches about 30%. If you have it permanently on your iPad, it automatically activates and drains the battery. But it charges immediately. The only negative for me is that it doesn't have an off button.
The best purchase I could make during quarantine to facilitate my online learning! I highly recommend it for anyone using an Apple iPad! I don't regret spending a single euro.
