The Tokina AT-X 24-70mm f/2.8 PRO FX lens is ideal for a variety of photographic genres such as travel, portraits, landscapes, and events. It provides bright, evenly lit images with controlled aberrations and distortions, while the numerous coatings help reduce flare and ghosting. The AF system operates quickly and silently, suitable for both photos and videos. The nine-blade diaphragm offers beautiful out-of-focus quality.

Compatible with Nikon FX-format DSLRs, it can also be used with DX-format DSLRs, offering a focal range of 36-105mm. The maximum aperture of f/2.8 ensures consistent performance throughout the zoom range, while the three glass molded elements and three SD elements contribute to high resolution and even lighting with minimal distortion. The Silent Drive-Module provides fast and quiet focusing, and the internal focusing mechanism maintains the lens's overall form during use. The diaphragm contributes to smooth out-of-focus quality.

Review this product
  • Excellent lens and excellent image quality. Construction quality that simply does not exist and is also evident from its weight (1050 gr). The focusing is slow but always accurate, unlike especially the Nikon ones which are fast but approximate. As for the negatives, it does not have image stabilization. It is logical that it may not be suitable for everyone, especially for those who do reporting, but it is excellent for everything else. I have had it for 4 years and it is flawless, replacing the corresponding Nikon lens that broke (lost its alignment). Overall, it is a difficult lens with reversed rings compared to Nikon, but the result is excellent

Stay away from this lens, I have been using it for about 3 years and it's not worth its money. It has a very poor autofocus and it focuses very difficultly in contrast light and low lights. Also, there is a batch that came to Greece which is defective, so be careful! The MF ring is quite fragile. It has good sharpness as a lens when it focuses. I recommend avoiding it for professional use, as you will lose good photos because they won't be focused. I have compared it to the Nikon 24-70 2.8 and the difference is huge! It's worth spending more money and getting the Nikon.
