  I don't know why some people would want it to close better. It toasts perfectly fine without any pressure. Okay, it didn't make the bacon crispy, but maybe it needed a little more time.
  Note 1: The latch is for closing it when not in use and for storing it upright (not for pressing the toast).

  - The toast is crispy with melted cheese inside.
  - You don't need to press it from the top or put a weight on the right side to lock it down, the toast will come out perfectly just with the weight of the top plate.

  In 1.5 years, the plastic handles on the side broke when I applied pressure from the handle. (Repairing it is not worth it).
  The metal top gets quite hot when you apply pressure from there. The plates were easy to clean at first, with a wet cloth, but over time they darken and can only be cleaned with the sponge's wire brush and a lot of scrubbing.
  Overall... Terrible. But you get what you pay for!

  I consider that I made an excellent purchase. At a price range of (<=15€), you can't find ceramic plates with even cooking. It has also served me as a grill for meats. It doesn't have a lot of power to cook immediately, but it cleans very easily. Compared to the previous toaster of another company with ceramic plates, they differ in everything.
