I have bought them twice and probably now I am going for the third but no, they never broke on me.
I am the type of person who will wear a shoe until it wears out. I have been stuck with this particular one for 5 years now. I went to Czech Republic for 6 months with it and a pair of boots that I never wore, I went to the army and had this as my civilian shoe. Beaches, walks, gyms, everything with the same shoe. It is comfortable, breathable, of course it gets wet immediately and the first ones I had I soaked countless times, without causing them any harm. Just after about 3 years the white was almost turning gray and I decided to get the second pair which I have had for 2 years now and it hasn't suffered the slightest damage. I still wear it everywhere, from coffee outings to the beach and the gym, just like the first one. I am thinking of buying it again now because it is simply unbelievable and it's not like my foot is going to change, so having a spare for the future won't hurt!
Edit: For the sake of truth, I am attaching a photo with the 3 pairs (I ended up buying a third one, the black this time) where the oldest one (2016-2018) is in the box and you can see the white has changed color. My everyday one now is the white on the right (in the 3rd photo you can see the sole which is logical to have worn out after 2.5+ years since I never change it) and the new one is on the left with its sole visible in the 2nd photo (I have worn them 2-3 times, so the sole is brand new)

They have no cushioning at all.
They are tight-fitting.

They are extremely lightweight, you don't even realize you're wearing them and you forget about foot pain. Also, they last through a season and even the winter, although you can't wear them for a second season as the sole becomes very slippery. But for 50 euros every year, it's nothing. I bought it 3 years ago for work that requires a lot of walking.
It is so lightweight and comfortable that I stopped wearing anything else, winter or summer, for anything.
I can wear it comfortably without tying or untying laces because of the fabric, without it slipping off my foot.
Apart from normal wear on the sole, they haven't suffered any damage, but generally my shoes don't show heavy wear.
I should also mention that the shoe bends effortlessly and has not torn.
Today I bought a second one just in case there is a shortage.

Perhaps the lightest and most comfortable sports shoe I have ever worn. Obviously, it is not suitable for rainy weather as it is just fabric. The gray color gets dirty easily, while the black one is easier to maintain. The white sole requires regular cleaning for both colors. They have endured a lot of abuse and machine washes without any noticeable damage after 10 months of daily use. It would be a big mistake for Nike to discontinue this specific line.

Perhaps the softest shoe ever made after the winter slippers with animals, you know, where you put your foot inside.
Their price is probably around 40€, and their use should be conservative in order to withstand. The sole is very soft, good for posture, etc., but it also slips very easily, so be careful! The sole also doesn't withstand much and will easily wear out on hard surfaces. I consider them suitable for walking or office work (for example). They are definitely not for rain or very cold weather due to the perforated mesh.
Under certain conditions, these shoes can either be wonderful or the worst you can have. I recommend them and have bought them twice. There are also the NEW BALANCE MARISLK3, which I found at the same price, with a slightly harder sole, better grip, and they seem a bit more durable over time, but we'll see!

I work at the airport, I walk 10km every day back and forth (only on flat surfaces). These shoes are amazing. I come home and simply nothing hurts. I bought two identical pairs to alternate wearing them. They are soft, light as a feather, they don't slip, I wear them with a suit (without a jacket), they go with everything. Unbelievable comfort.
