The Blade SV from the company MT is a full face helmet, which protects the entire head and jaw. For this reason, this type of helmet is considered the safest and most durable for both travel and city rides. It is made of thermoplastic, a reinforced hard material of high strength. It fastens with a microlock, type buckle which allows you to fasten it easily and quickly. The helmet has a European type "ECE 22.05" safety specification certification, which ensures that the helmet is tested for drop, impact, and object penetration. Additionally, it features a sun visor, which is an internal sunshade membrane, like glass, for protection from the sun.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
I do not like the visual appearance of this "bridge" between the two rear air vents and the fact that the closure is somewhat tight, meaning that if you are in a hurry or wearing gloves, it becomes difficult to put on and take off repeatedly. The visibility compared to other jet helmets I have had cannot be compared, and even for a flip-up helmet, it is slightly smaller. The main visor does not have a stable first click, so it falls down and I have to put it on the second click (which is not many). However, my main complaint is the fogging inside the helmet, especially in the city. Regardless of whether I have the front air vents open at the traffic light or during congestion, it fogs up and it is very annoying because I have to raise the main visor a little and it makes my face cold until it clears up. The chin guard is low and does not help me as much as I would like. The internal sun visor simply does its job, and the lever on the left side is very helpful. It fits tightly on my head, especially on the cheeks, and of course, I do not hear any noise at low speeds in the city where I ride. Due to the fogging and somewhat limited visibility, I am not very satisfied with this helmet for city use, if I were, for example, a courier, there would be no way I would keep it and wear it for my work all day long. *I removed the protective mesh in front of the air vents, so it opened up more, and now more air comes in and it doesn't fog up as much, although let's be honest, it doesn't cost 400 euros to not fog up at all.
A good helmet without having to spend a fortune on how long it will last in the weather (5 years) or in heavy rain, I haven't tested it enough to have a personal opinion, but I find it as a decent recommendation from MT
For its price, it's good, but the aerodynamic noise it produces from thirty kilometers is crazy
