First of all, I wanted to choose a heater for a 15 square meter room that would reach 20 degrees. I already have an air conditioner installed, but it doesn't do the job anymore... the noise is unbearable and the consumption during the cold months is definitely over 1 kilowatt. I ruled out kerosene and gas stoves because I didn't want to deal with flammable materials (unhealthy, dangerous, and constantly needing to buy bottles, etc.). My first choice was a mica infrared radiator heater, but it was a disappointment. It had no performance in the room (especially direct performance). Starting at 11 degrees, it was difficult to reach 15 degrees, and as soon as the thermostat turned off, the temperature dropped abruptly... so I returned it... and then came the moment when I bought this specific oil radiator heater, which is also the first one I purchased. At first, it needs to be seasoned for 5 days for the metal to take on the temperature and for the strange noises to stop. It emitted a smell for the first two days, but within reasonable limits. The performance is highly effective, with the thermostat set to 3, it reaches the temperature of 20 degrees in 30 minutes and maintains it because when the thermostat turns off, the body doesn't freeze!!! The consumption is around 1.5 kilowatts!!! And the best part is that I can control the heater via wifi, so I bought a wifi socket and connected the heater to it!!! This way, half an hour before I enter the room, I open the app and turn on the power to the heater!!! It should be noted that oil radiator heaters with built-in wifi easily break down (they have many electronic systems) and cost over 150 euros. So, with the 15 euros that the socket cost, I did my job much better!!!
Unfortunately, compared to the 11-year-old Juro Pro Zesti, it does nothing. It's a lukewarm thing that only consumes kilowatts. With the Juro Pro (both on the second power level), you don't get close to the heat. With this one, even the cat can touch it without getting burned. It's going to the storage and I will buy something else. In the same room where I had the old one, the temperature difference with this Denek is 1.5 degrees less. And with the wind, without cold.
Personally, I have only used it on the low and medium settings and not at maximum, because there it pulls 10.5A and the room's fuse, which is 10A, cannot handle it. This is also the reason I am giving it one star less; I believe they could have adjusted this, perhaps reducing the output a bit and limiting it to 9.5-10A because many homes, especially older ones, have such electrical capacities in the rooms. However, both on the low and medium settings, it gets the body quite warm; it's hard to touch, just the low setting takes a bit longer to reach that point. It gives a nice warmth.
The Delonghi TRRS1225 oil radiator with 12 fins 2500W might be good if we can manage to operate it. Nowhere on the internet, nor on the Delonghi website, is there a brochure with instructions for use, and so we turn it on... but after a while, it shuts off for some reason we cannot determine. It also has a button below the temperature indicators whose function is not clear from anywhere. DO NOT BUY IT!
Do not buy it, it's not worth the money.I bought it 3 days ago for a small room usage, 2hours working on 3 grade on maximum and didn't even felt like warming the room. It is not even winter yet otherwise with this thing would freeze for shure.
What good is it when you have to open the window every little while to air out the space because the room smells like burnt oil? I took it to service, and it was the same, nothing changed... wasted money. Only when it is at a very low temperature does it not smell.
Best investment ever! turned it on for 2 hours at the balcony for the smell to go and then it's working like magic. heating up the room at a constant temperature. worth the money
Good construction quality, gives off a sweet warmth, but burns quite a bit. For large spaces, it definitely needs to burn on a large scale to heat and maintain the space satisfactorily. If, for example, the alternative is an air conditioner, the difference in consumption will be significantly increased
Good purchase it seems. Very negative for me the very short cable. Our sockets are not on the floor. they are at hand level on the walls but nevertheless, the extension cord is absolutely necessary. The cable is not long enough. Did they save on the cable??? Very short!!!!
We bought the radiator for an 18cm room, but we placed it in a 7th-floor attic room in a mountain area with severe cold and wind in the winter. We made the mistake at first and put it on full power and on the highest setting, and it caused a power surge that gave us a headache. HOWEVER, afterwards, we adjusted it to the first setting at level 4 for the room and it calmed down. It takes a little longer to warm up the room, but it became more energy-friendly. The higher settings are suitable for living rooms and larger rooms. It's very bad that it doesn't have a second handle. It had a strong smell for us, but we placed it on the balcony to burn for 3 consecutive hours, and then it was okay.
It is the 3rd device that I buy for my house. But I have bought another 6 for friends and colleagues. We are all very satisfied. It heats up a regular room relatively quickly, maintains the warmth, and we have never set it above 3 (max 6) and on level 1 minimum (it has 3 min/medium/max levels). The same goes for the device for the children's room. If there is no central heating on, we have it on the Minimum setting at intensity 1-2 and it runs all night since they sleep uncovered!! Very satisfied overall. In terms of consumption, I believe and have seen much better than air heaters, kumtel, etc. It may smell a little at first, but it goes away soon.
The comparison I am making is with an older 25-year-old 2000w oil radiator, both of them, the 25-year-old one of Austrian construction, and I went through the process of doing it because it did not perform well compared to the old one. The construction of the new one is unacceptable, very thin and cheap materials on it, if you push it a little along its length, it distorts with your hands and in cold weather it is not warm, if it hits somewhere and bends, meaning you can restore it to its original form with your hands, its metallic elements, compared to the old one, the old one is a solid piece of metal, metal thickness old 1.25 new 0.75 with a consumption meter at the socket that I measured and both their differences are imperceptible and in power and in consumption. I use it in a room which is my office, 18m², the old one, from the moment it reaches the temperature and the thermostat turns off, it keeps the metal warm for quite a few minutes until it turns on again, its ignition duration is much shorter and it turns off again compared to the new one, the new one, on the other hand, turns on, forgets to turn off, and when it turns off again, it turns on again after half the time compared to the old one. The only thing I wish is for the technician to be able to fix the old one so that I can retire the new one. I don't blame the model, maybe it has a problem, I don't know, I just mention my experience compared to the older one. I will consult with the dealer in the new year, maybe there is a problem with the radiator in terms of performance because it has less than 50% efficiency compared to the old one. Also, I put both of them on the first scale at 3, when the old one was working, you would enter the room and realize that it had heating, while with the new one, you say it does or doesn't have it.
I bought this specific radiator for a 50 square meter floor as I live in a maisonette. I bought it as an addition because on the top floor I have some heat losses due to levels (ground floor, first, second) even though the house is insulated. Without a radiator, using it for 3 hours in the morning, afternoon, and evening, it heats up very well!!! the whole floor... I couldn't believe it!! I should add that the severe cold hasn't arrived yet... so far I am very satisfied
Very good body, economical and convenient. However, it should have had a second handle, it would have been very helpful for its movements. In spaces like 10-15 sqm rooms, it quickly heats up in a few minutes, for a larger space like a living room-kitchen of about 35 sqm, it takes about an hour to realize that it has warmed up the area. If you want it for extra, one radiator is enough. If you want to cover a house over, for example, 50 sqm, you will need 2 radiators.
It doesn't smell at all. I left it on the balcony for 3 hours and then inside. The house is 70 sqm and I put it in the hallway between two bedrooms. The body heats up incredibly well and quickly.
First of all, I have to say that it is the first oil radiator I have purchased and I have no other experience with such devices. Having said that, I have to say that it is excellent in every aspect. I put it on the balcony and burned it for half an hour at full power and the smell completely disappeared. I bought it for my children's room, which is 17 square meters. Only one button pressed at 2.5 in the evening, and if it is very cold, at 3.5, the room reaches over 25 degrees inside. The increase in the electricity bill depends on the usage. If it burns all day, it goes up. If it is only for the night and on a low setting, not significantly. It has been a while since we bought another 4 of these. Time will tell. But for me, it is worth its money.
Good choice for supplemental heating of approximately 20 square meters of space. House at a high altitude, without insulation. Good construction, good diffusion of heat and warms up very quickly. The drawbacks are the short cable and the lack of handles for transportation on both sides. As for the consumption, I don't have an opinion yet.
The negatives are the low-quality switches, wheels, and the lack of handles for moving from room to room when it is hot (it only has them on one side). Overall, the plastic parts are of very low quality. The electricity bill doubled with its use.
I bought it this winter, just before the cold and snow. Before the first use, it needs to operate on the balcony (or, if there is a fear of getting wet, in a well-ventilated room) for at least 2 hours. We use it simultaneously or alternately with the air conditioners, which are the only other source of heating for the house. The first bill was lower than expected, so I consider it to be very efficient in terms of consumption. It generally doesn't smell, only sometimes after a long time and when the room is very warm, it leaves a slight odor and we lower the temperature.
It is convenient to install, not particularly heavy but within reasonable limits, but it could be better for moving if it had handles on both sides. It is very difficult to lift it slightly to step on the carpet, especially when it has been running and the fins are hot.
It is suitable for a room up to 25 square meters. It cannot heat a larger space enough. In the living room, for example (which has good insulation), we have it in the middle with the air conditioner working simultaneously to cover the space, with an extension cord from another room to avoid tripping the circuit breaker.
I have it in a 15sqm children's room with moderate insulation. It heats the room very well at min and on level 3. For now, I am very satisfied and clearly better than the radiator.
I use it in a living room of 35 square meters in combination with a zeolite dehumidifier on the first setting (1100W) at level 1 or 2 (out of 6 levels) depending on the outside temperature, in order to maintain an acceptable indoor temperature of 18 to 20 degrees. It heats up faster than the Atlantic 2500w heater that I have had for years, and faster than other heaters I have tried that were useless, and most importantly, it maintains the temperature without constantly running. I don't expect any surprises on my electricity bill, as I have a very low fixed rate with nighttime charging all day. It didn't smell unpleasant at all, only for the first 15 minutes when I turned it on according to the instructions to operate at full power in the bathroom with the window open, it had a slight smell, like all new appliances do. The build quality is very good and it is completely silent. Its only drawback for me is the length of the cable, as I would like it to have an additional 50cm in length, and that when you turn it off, you have to wait for it to cool down before moving it to another room. The one handle it has is not enough, as it is quite heavy. I will buy a second one when the price drops for the bedroom.
It is the best purchase I have made for heating in all these years!
I used it at full power outside on the balcony for a day and then it smelled very little inside the house, maybe for a day. It reaches temperature quite quickly in a large room, for example, our living room, which is 15 square meters. It automatically turns off when it reaches the desired temperature and, by observing it, it maintains the temperature inside the room for a considerable amount of time before turning on again to reheat the room.
First step (no 1) and one button, in one hour it burns 0.4 KW in a room with moderate insulation and an external temperature of 12 degrees. I have forgotten it there and it keeps the space pleasantly warm at 18 degrees. I don't consider it healthy to go higher. Okay, the first time I put it a little stronger until the room warmed up. Very sturdy construction. The wheels are ready when it comes in the box, they unfold and fold for storage during the summer months. I will buy more.
Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. 4 stars because: a) the cable is small, b) the handles are not ergonomic at all, c) I think it takes a while to heat up
It is the third year that I am using it, so I decided to write about my experience. It only smelled for the first 3-4 days, it has an excellent heat sensation, just like traditional radiators. I use it with both settings open and the thermostat in the middle in a child's room, which heats up very quickly and maintains the warmth. Additionally, for the night, I have a Xiaomi wifi socket that I program and it operates with the night mode for a few hours on cold nights. It also allows me to remotely turn it on before I get home if I am away. Overall, I am very satisfied. I just want to mention that although they are considered reliable, the resistance short-circuited a little before the warranty expired. I can't say I was thrilled with the service, they told me after a few days that it was okay, they didn't encounter any problems and tested it and it functions satisfactorily. Before leaving, I asked them to test it on the spot and of course, it blew the fuse in the store!!! Eventually, they kept it and replaced the resistance, for now, it is working correctly.
Let's explain a few things. I have bought three heaters to heat three large rooms. The rooms are about 30 square meters each (poor insulation, the temperature inside drops to 14 degrees). I turn them on an hour and a half before I go to the office and they adequately heat all three rooms (I have them on maximum). My electricity bill for the quarter came to about 400 euros for 8 hours of daily use. Regarding the smell, whenever I bought them, I would put them on the balcony to run for six hours and then they wouldn't smell. I haven't had any problems with switches or any technical issues. In difficult temperatures where air conditioners don't work below 5 degrees, these heaters worked and saved the day. Please note that this heater does not cover spaces larger than 30 square meters
As many have said, the radiator smells at first, you need to take it outside and let it work for about six hours on the 6th level to get rid of the smell. I bought it at the end of August and did this for about a week before putting it inside the house because I was afraid with a newborn baby, and as a result, when I turned it on, there was no trace of odor. Now, regarding the heat, I have it in a 50 sqm space and the heat is not bad at all, you simply notice the difference. The external temperature is -3 degrees, with good insulation. In terms of consumption, it devours electricity. These are 2500W. Anything that is plugged in and heats up means an increase in the electricity bill.
In a 50 square meter space, it heats up perfectly. It doesn't smell much, only a little at the beginning. Its consumption ranges from 55 to 60 cents per hour when it's working at full capacity, and from 25 to 30 cents when it's working on the low or medium setting.
Influenced by the comments here about the smell, I bought it prepared to return it if it smelled. It smelled unbearable at first, but before returning it, I decided to leave it on the balcony for 4 consecutive hours. Since then, it has been working perfectly without any smell.
It heats up the room very quickly, I consider it a very good purchase and I would choose it again if I needed a second one. Comparing it to two others that I have had for a long time, but with the same consumption, it is clearly superior in its thermal performance
