The Amazing Spider-Man for PlayStation 3 is based on the movie of the same name and turns Manhattan into a vast... playground! The game's storyline does not replicate the events of the film but unfolds immediately after them and adopts an open-world concept where you roam with Spidey, completing missions, helping people, and facing all kinds of "villains." The battles are quite reminiscent of other superhero titles, while the wear and tear and hits that Spider-Man endures are beautifully and realistically depicted on his suit.

New York has not yet recovered from the destruction caused by Dr. Curt Connors when he unleashed his other self, known as Lizard, into an unsuspecting crowd. Manhattan has turned into a safari park for mutants: its skyscrapers and sewers are now the refuges of a legion of monsters, such as Scorpion, Iguana, and Rhino, and of course, Oscorp's robotic security force. You will have to fight against a great wave of suspicion from the public and, worse, these deadly monsters that have resulted from terrible crossbreeding of species, to save the metropolis from total destruction.

Help the police arrest criminals, prevent street crimes, and surround escapees in the vast metropolis. Not only will you see your popularity improve, but you will also earn experience points with which you can upgrade your abilities: hit harder, leap farther, and move faster, in a superhero adventure that sends adrenaline levels soaring.
