Description

Take this sturdy Panasonic camera outdoors. The high-speed lens of 600mm/F2.8 and the ability to record 4K video/photos will satisfy you and provide you with unique fleeting photographic opportunities.

Zoom 25-600mm with Full Range F2.8

The Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 25-600mm lens can boast of its full F2.8 range. No matter how far your subject is or how fast it moves, this lens won't let it escape. And the continuous F2.8 capability enhances low-light shooting throughout the zoom range.

Additionally, Panasonic's Nano Surface Coating technology can pride itself on the extremely low reflection rate applied to the Lumix FZ300 for exceptional optical performance with stunning clarity, reducing flare and ghosting.

High image quality even in low light conditions

The high-sensitivity MOS sensor with 12.1 megapixels, combined with the Venus Engine processor, offers high-quality image capture and high-speed signal processing.

The advanced noise reduction system allows for capturing clean images even in low-light conditions up to ISO 6400. The Venus Engine processor also excels in diffraction compensation for creating clean images even when shooting with a small aperture.

5-axis stabilization / Tilt correction

The HYBRID O.I.S.+ (Optical Image Stabilizer Plus)* 5-axis optical stabilizer helps in capturing videos without blurring while holding the camera with one hand. It detects and compensates for 5 types of camera motion: horizontal, vertical, axis rotation, vertical rotation, and horizontal rotation.

The Level Shot Function detects the horizontal line of the image and maintains it even if you tilt the camera. It captures stable videos, even when shooting blind at a high angle.

* The HYBRID O.I.S. 5-axis Optical Image Stabilizer works with video shooting except for 4K video shooting.

4K Video and 4K Photo Functions

Capture the perfect moment

At any moment, special moments can arise that you would like to remember and should be able to capture them with the best possible resolution. Now Panasonic's 4K technology is available to everyone. With the new LUMIX GX8, you can record videos in 4K (up to QFHD: 3840 x 2160 pixels, 25 fps, 100Mbit/s).

In addition, with the 4K Photo function, you can easily extract the perfect photo from a 4K video (30 frames/photos per second) on the camera and save it as an 8-megapixel equivalent photo.

Λειτουργίες 4K Photo

Unleash your creativity

The 4K Photo function can be used in three different ways, allowing you to capture the perfect moment at a high continuous shooting rate of 30 frames/photos per second:

Continuous Shooting 4K

This is a function that you can use more like using continuous shooting mode. The camera takes images equivalent to 8 megapixels at a super-high continuous shooting rate for as long as you hold down the shutter button.

Continuous Shooting 4K S/S (Start/Stop)

This function is the standard 4K Photo mode where you can record 4K video and later extract a frame/photo as an 8-megapixel equivalent image. You can relax and wait for the moment to come.

4K Pre-Burst

The uniqueness of the '4K Pre-Burst' function is that the camera starts recording a 4K video one second before you press the shutter button. This allows you to capture an unpredictable moment that happens much faster than you can react. You can take an additional 60 photos to choose the best one.

4K Video More Details than Full HD

Whether you're watching movies or editing videos, 4K offers a much more intense viewing experience than you've ever seen before. Its resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels is four times larger than Full HD, resulting in an even higher level of detail.

Even if you play 4K videos on a Full HD TV, the video files will have even greater clarity and cleaner details than those taken in Full HD.

Design for splash/dust resistance

To be durable enough to withstand even tough conditions, the Lumix FZ300 features splash and dust resistant construction. It offers sealing on every joint, dial, and button, passing the rigorous quality criteria of the flagship DSLM (Digital Single Lens Mirrorless) cameras.

You can take the Lumix FZ300 for photography in challenging weather conditions, from dense jungles to windy deserts.

Large OLED LVF 0.7x, 1,440k dots

The Lumix FZ300 comes with a high-resolution Live View OLED (1,440k dots) viewfinder that allows for high visibility thanks to its 10,000:1 contrast ratio and perfect framing even under direct sunlight.

The high magnification of 0.7x (equivalent to a 35mm film camera) makes it easy to see the details of the image. Additionally, with all settings displayed right in front of your eyes, your photos will come out exactly as you want them.

Disconnect your creativity with Wi-Fi

The connectivity features of the Lumix FZ300 enhance the usability of the camera in many ways.

The camera can be controlled using the 'Panasonic Image App' on your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to view the image, adjust the focus, release the shutter remotely, or preview your photos on the large screen of your tablet. Additionally, you can share your images on social media.

Easy Sharing

Share your favorite moments easily by transferring and dropping them onto social media using your smartphone or tablet.

Geotagging

The Lumix FZ300 knows exactly where it is, using GPS data/the geotag of your smartphone or tablet. By using Geotagging, you will be able to automatically attach location information to your images.

Everything in its right place

The Lumix FZ300 is not only made up of a sleek body and a comfortable grip that fits well in the hand, but also offers an intuitive level of operation. The rear/side dials control the basic aperture and shutter speed settings, while easily switching for handling temporary WB and ISO values. Settings can also be registered to eight function buttons.

* Additionally, the side lever on the left side of the lens body makes zooming easier when focusing on the shutter button function with the right hand.

* Four buttons on the body and five buttons in the menu.

High-Speed Autofocus with DFD Technology

Capture even the fastest movement, thanks to Panasonic's Depth From Defocus (DFD) technology. The LUMIX FZ300 introduces this brand new technology, instantly calculating the distance between objects within the frame and driving the lens focus with a quick, continuous movement.

This new system results in AF (Autofocus) speeds of up to 0.09 seconds* and a continuous shooting speed with Continuous Autofocus (AFC) of 6 frames per second. It also enhances the stability of continuous focus during video recording.

Continuous Shooting 12 fps

Continuous shooting at high speed can reach up to 12 frames per second in full 12.1 megapixel resolution. Along with the fast start-up of approximately 0.88 seconds and minimal release time lag, the Lumix FZ300 never lets you miss those fleeting shooting opportunities.

Macro Photography for Close-up Shots

With the Lumix FZ300, you can take stunning macro photos with a minimum focusing distance of 1cm.

I have had this particular camera since the summer of 2018. I was torn between a compact camera or an entry-level DSLR, and ultimately, this one won me over. It has a Leica lens and has f 2.8 throughout its zoom range. Additionally, the camera body is durable and can withstand drops and rain. The photos it takes are amazing, even though I am not a professional artist. The photos I take during the day are beyond what I could have imagined this camera capable of capturing. The menu is good, easy, and user-friendly. The only downside is low-light photography. When the light is dim, you need to use the flash to take a decent photo. As for video, I have no opinion.

Very good camera, I mainly use it for photography or wildlife videos.
It has good image quality, although it is slightly inferior compared to cheap DSLRs.
It has water and dust protection and a bunch of settings.

I think it's a perfect camera for amateurs who want something more than mobile phone photos. Compared to cheap DSLRs, it's better, more user-friendly, and more compact. Many settings give you 100% control over all the parameters of the photo. The automatic mode is decent. It might be the best camera in its category in terms of price.

For 350€, it is the best compact for the money! It is a good start to begin professionally and a good choice if you want to upgrade from your mobile phone camera!

I have no words, by far the best Bridge Camera that easily competes with High End Mirrorless and DSLR cameras. It has nothing to envy and at a very good price. Whoever wants a simply perfect camera should get it without hesitation.

As the owner of the camera since 22/05/2018, I consider it to be the best among all the compact, DSLR, and mirrorless cameras I have seen at the price of €460 that I bought it for. I wanted a camera that could take great photos during the day or night, as well as good videos. It takes incredible photos, but in low light conditions, you need to adjust the settings appropriately as the photo can be distorted in very poor lighting. The video quality is also quite good at 1080p, but not professional-grade. Overall, it has a lot of settings for both photography and videography that you can use and adjust. For the price, with 4k recording, a very good Leica lens, and an aperture of f/2.8 at all zoom levels in DSLR or mirrorless cameras, you would have to spend more than €650.

The machine can do everything but not perfectly. It is, in my opinion, the best machine to experiment and see what your style is and what you need from a camera, whether it is video, photo, vlogs, etc., in order to take the next step in the right direction. The camera is a versatile tool and by learning about it, you will see all the focal lengths, the entire aperture range (f2.8-11), and all the settings you can imagine in a camera so that your next purchase is exactly what you need, whether you are a photographer or a videographer.

The more experienced ones, with a little more money, should consider the Lumix G7 (same capabilities but with a larger sensor and interchangeable lenses) or a Canon DSLR (e.g. Canon 750D).

P.S.: The lens of the camera is amazing. If you go for a DSLR, you will have to spend a lot of money for such quality.

Very good machine. You forget that it has 2/3 sensor. Its lens covers all requirements. If you don't want to have absolute sharp photos like with a DSLR, it is the ultimate machine. Besides, let's not forget that you need at least €1500 for lenses to have the flexibility of this all-around machine. Incredibly fast, good and sturdy grip, and you enjoy having it with you for experimentation as well as street photography. Recommended.

The FZ-300 offers everything (and more) that a video/photography school graduate or even a professional in the field would ask for, with the only difference being that in the field of photography it will not have many requirements since we are talking about a 2/3 on a full frame "sensor". Very good for anyone who wants to enter the world of reporting and documentary. It also excels as one of the best and affordable options for video shooting, satisfying even the most active videographer with its extra perks that also cater to creative photography through intuitive applications and shortcuts.

I have had it for about 2 months and I haven't stopped taking photos! The ideal grip, the waterproofing, the excellent lens, the lightning-fast focus, the 4K video, and the comprehensive and user-friendly menu make it the ultimate bridge camera. The small sensor is only noticeable indoors and in low light. However, what it offers covers 95% of your needs. I highly recommend it without a second thought!
