We bought them for cleaning our newborn's umbilical cord. We are satisfied, but for the next purchase, we will go for half the size of gauze. It doesn't need to be so big.

I have been using it for years for my children to clean their eyes and it does its job well. However, I would suggest that parents try them themselves because they don't seem as gentle to me. There are other wipes that claim to be "for sensitive skin" and are actually more pleasant on the eye, so do your own tests...
