I tested every day and the line kept getting darker. I tested 7 days before, it came out negative. Besides its reliability, you also check the progression of the pregnancy in such early stages.

On the 4th day before the 1st day of delay, I also took a Beta hCG test which showed 32, and after 2 days it was 129, confirming the pregnancy. I highly recommend them! I was crying, my boyfriend was trembling... I went to the hospital and they told me I'm not pregnant... With 7 positive tests.... I will ask for my money back... And especially everything I have given them because I used to buy from there frequently.... Don't buy it, maybe I was the exception but I hope it doesn't happen to you.... I bought 10 and did 6 of them before the delay until the expected period day and there was absolutely nothing visible. After two days of delay, it showed a faint line that you have to strain your eyes to see. Then I did the other 3 every two days and the line became more pronounced!

That's why there is no specific date when you can take them to see the second line, because every organism is different and the concentration of chorionic hormone appears in other women, for example, 4 days before the expected period or it may take more days, meaning there may be a delay for the line to appear. It also has to do with the day of conception. Chorionic hormone may not have risen until maybe the first day of the period because conception may have occurred quite late. I believe that two days before the delay is a safe distance to perform the test and get accurate results. These specific tests are 100% reliable. They always gave the correct negative result, but also the positive when it happened. I took the test two days before the expected period and a very faint line appeared. Since then, I monitored it every day with morning urine (it's an exaggeration, but I wanted to see the line darken) because as the line darkens, the chorionic hormone increases. Until I went to have a blood test, I present to you the progress of the tests so that you have an idea of how they should be. I would recommend buying the package with the 20 tests because firstly, it is economical, secondly, you will have them for each month without having to go through the buying process again, and thirdly, in case of pregnancy, it is a pleasure to see the line darken. Finally, the tests have nothing to envy from electronic tests or the plastic ones in fancy packaging because the result and accuracy are exactly the same.

When I had the 1st positive test, I was on the 25th day of my cycle with a 28-31 day cycle. Because it was relatively early, the line was faint, I repeated it after 1-2 days as the delay approached and it was darker. I believe they are reliable and definitely more environmentally friendly than plastic strip tests. It should be done with the first morning urine in a cup, however, and according to the instructions.
[update:] because I see many comments about whether it was positive before or after the delay, I want to add that it depends a lot on the woman's cycle and when conception will occur. In the 2nd pregnancy again with a 28-day cycle, it was negative on the 24th, negative on the 28th (but I didn't wait 5 minutes) and faintly positive on the 30th! However, I still consider it reliable because the other brand I tried on the 30th day to make sure before the period showed a much fainter line.
Finally, keep in mind that because the strip is not protected like in plastic tests, if you leave it out of the packaging for a long time it may falsely show positive (all strips). It has to do with the evaporation of certain liquids. That's why this test should be opened at the time it is to be done and not looked at after the minutes indicated in the instructions or after it whitens!
