General Information about the Gel Tennis Elbow Brace

The gel tennis elbow brace provides good support and compression in the area of the elbow condyles and helps in the treatment of tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis). Tennis elbow is a syndrome of inflammation of the muscles that lift the wrist. These muscles start at the elbow level at a specific bony prominence (lateral epicondyle). Their fibers suffer microscopic tears when excessively stressed at their origin, leading to inflammation. In many cases, inflammation occurs without significant strain in the area or may appear on the opposite side as well. In these cases, it is advisable to conduct some tests to rule out other pathologies.

Symptoms

Pain is typically on the outer side of the elbow but often radiates down the forearm or upwards towards the shoulder. It usually worsens with wrist movements, and when the inflammation is advanced, even a simple handshake can cause pain.
