I got it for 24 euros for testing and it is very fast and good compared to the machine that our pediatrician lent us, which cost him 260 euros. It is much faster and much quieter. I hope it withstands time and use
I bought it simply for therapeutic use with normal saline to moisturize the nasal passages. Within a month, the motor sounds like a compressor. It is supposed to have a 2-year warranty, so I will try to replace it. But already, our doctor gave us a portable, silent, small one, and we have been saved because we use it while she's sleeping and we avoid the whining.
With a nebulization rate of 0.20ml/min, it is one of the slowest nebulizers on the market. It overheats in 20 minutes without automatic shut-off and there is a risk of it burning. It is quite noisy. Also, the particles are in the range of 0.4-0.6 microns in size, which is the highest possible for effective drug absorption. The good thing is that it can hold up to 10ml of medication.
Unfortunately, after a year and something, it gave up, just suddenly. It's a shame because Medisana is a German company, but apparently everything is now made in China. So don't buy from brands, but get something cheap and as long as it lasts. I buy a new one every 1.5 years because either the compressor will suddenly break, like in this one, or the socket will break from the air hose, so it was a waste in the previous one!! So now let's go for a new one. I will try Macrolife this time and God help us. And never spend more than 50 bucks!!! Good luck to you.
Good up to a point, I bought it for my little one and within a month it broke. At first, the motor sounded a bit strange before it stopped working altogether. And the stupid thing is that I can't return it...
My experience with nebulizers so far was limited to observing a relative using one. Unfortunately, 10 days ago, my 4-year-old granddaughter needed the services of a machine. We borrowed one from the relative, but it was very slow, resulting in discomfort for the child during use. So we purchased this specific one, and it made a night and day difference. Now, the treatment that used to take half an hour only lasts 5-10 minutes, three times a day. The machine sounds more compact and powerful during operation. It is still early to encounter any issues, but if any arise, I will provide an update. Finally, I would like to note that the three different types available on the market have exactly the same motor and performance characteristics. The only difference is that the two larger models have a case to store the machine's accessories, such as masks, tubes, and cables, for easy transportation.
