I had bought my first device years ago. Being satisfied, I recently bought two more for two different medium-sized bathrooms. They are satisfactory to excellent. Just be careful with the power consumption of all these devices because they draw amps... In normal use, even at the first speed and with the thermostat set to 4, it heats up quickly and stops its operation (I assume it consumes around 800 to 1000 watts, roughly equivalent to the consumption of 10-15 LED bulbs). However, it does not replace either air conditioning or space heaters for broader heating with similar consumption (when it operates at max). The truth is that after a period of inactivity, during the first restart, it may smell a little like burning hair. This is due to the fact that the fan's axis or the resistance wires accumulate hair and other suspended residues. A good blow with a blower or even with a hairdryer on cold setting solves the problem and effectively maintains the device. Its IP rating allows you to operate it safely in humid areas, without meaning that you can pour water on it. I have it as a floor-standing unit and not wall-mounted, because as known, the warmer air goes upwards in relation to the cooler air in the room. Overall, compared to cheaper and similar models, it will leave you worry-free. If your knowledge allows it, a good cleaning of the blades (be careful with the resistance) and special lubricant on the axis will prevent odors and noises caused by accumulated dirt.
Extremely annoying as we have placed it in the bathroom just to warm up for 5 minutes before the kids take a bath! It shuts off on its own after a minute, thinking it has reached the desired temperature, and doesn't give you the option to open it again! I would not recommend it!
Real hassle. It shuts down on its own after two minutes and doesn't turn on again. Very frustrating, I got anxiety and nerves for another reason. Terrible
Very good fan heater. It has a thermostat and stops when it reaches the temperature.
The only negative is that it does not rotate automatically, only manually. It said it has a rotating base and that confused me.
I have the previous model for about 15 years now and it still works perfectly, that's why I went back to Delonghi.
I am also satisfied with this one, it heats up a large bathroom of about 18m² in just 10 minutes during the cold weather.
I deducted one star because it doesn't stay in place when you tilt it downwards (it goes up on its own due to its weight, see video), something that doesn't happen with the old one.
Good health to everyone.
I bought it to replace an older heater of the same brand that lasted me 16 years. In the first few days of operation, it seemed fine to me for its price, maybe the only downside for now is that the cable is a bit short. I hope it lasts as long as the previous one!!
In comparison side by side with a Singer BFH-2000, at the 2kW setting, the Delonghi produces the same air temperature as the Singer at the 1.4kW level (the Singer at 2kW actually produces hot air). The fan of the Delonghi is slightly more powerful, but it also makes much more noise.
I bought the first one in 2005. Yes, I am writing correctly, in 2005. It warms up a room or bathroom in no time. And that's why some people complain when it stops working. If you don't want it to shut off quickly, you put it on the first speed (1000W).
So, I bought it again for the bathroom in my country house! It does the same amazing job!!!
I chose this particular model because I had a similar one that lasted me 10 years. I got it to put in the bathroom. At first, it has a plastic smell, but it goes away over time. It heats the bathroom satisfactorily.
Having had a similar Delonghi model for 8 years, I have to say the following: The only, let's say, disadvantage is that the thermostat easily reaches its maximum temperature and shuts off (which is its correct function). Usually, we place it in a bathroom, which is a very small space, resulting in it easily covering the area, meaning that it is more powerful than what the space needs. The solution is to set it on the first heating level (1000w) and the thermostat will never shut off, or for a short period on 2000w and then on 1000w. One thing for sure is that it emits a much larger amount of warm air compared to two other cheaper ones I have in other rooms. Since last year, the motor started making a bit of noise at the beginning, but then it stops after a while (expected after so much use).
I bought it for exclusive use in the bathroom, but unfortunately, even though I paid a lot for it, it didn't turn out very good as it deactivates on its own during its operation when I take a bath.
I bought the aforementioned product and it is the worst... It caused me a problem from the first use with overheating and stopped working after about 20 minutes... in a bathroom of not even 10 square meters. And without even taking a bath, meaning without having steam and such... luckily the store offers replacement within 10 days of purchase... I buy the same thing again because I think, okay maybe I got a defective one, but it's exactly the same thing... Tragic, stay away...
I placed it in the bathroom, it quickly heats up the space, due to the certifications it has for humidity, I have it open during the shower without any issues (obviously it is in a spot where it doesn't get wet, but it hasn't been affected by the steam). It looks quite plastic, but it does its job just fine.
Very good. I installed it in the bathroom and it does a very good job. Quiet, always for the standards of a heater. It looks high quality. I recommend it. The only negative is its price.
I bought this product 20 days ago.
From the first use, a problem with the thermostat appeared.
The company's policy for after-sales customer service is completely unacceptable.
I had to make a total of 4 trips (2 to the store & 2 to the service center) to have the faulty heater replaced.
Furthermore, the next heater that I was supposed to get, luckily I tested it and it was also defective as the switch on the base didn't stay in place, resulting in it not working.
So, two out of three were problematic.
As for the company's policy, there is nothing to say, no comment.
I will waste my time for no reason.
Those who want to buy it should thoroughly check it, otherwise they will regret it.
money! This product exceeded my expectations. It is of high quality and very durable. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and long-lasting product
