...now that you have turned eighteen and are starting what you always longed for, your own life, listen to a couple of things that I have understood from my own life.
Some of these I have told you years ago, but most you will hear for the first time. They are not advice, I know, you are tired of those. Let's say it's a manual, like the ones you find in the box of your new phone.

Don't get mad, I know you are a pro with phones, you don't need instructions. But the life of adults, believe me, you do. Now that you are leaving home, you are changing levels, like back then with your video games. Your new level is difficult. You have to survive it with dignity, otherwise, you will live a life that is not worth it.

So keep this silly little book, it might be useful to you at some point, who knows...
It is written with love, with guilt, with hopes, with fear for you, with trust in you. Because you are a good kid and the society we are handing over to you is relentless. Remember that the world around you is dirty, but there is always clean water to wash your face. Never stop looking for it...
