I vaguely remembered reading something about it somewhere. I looked at a few reviews here again and they were saying "the best game ever" and so on...
I haven't put it down! I'm hooked! Very difficult, frustrating at the beginning, but slowly becoming an absolute addiction!
The story may not make much sense for those starting with 3, I didn't fully understand what's going on, but I guess it will become clear in the end.

Did you find this review helpful?I bought the Dark Souls trilogy for about 50€, which included Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls 2, and Dark Souls 3 along with all the DLC. The truth is, I bought the trilogy just to have it in my collection, what mattered to me was Dark Souls 3.
Where to start and where to finish...
Duration: Initially, the game has a duration of about 40 hours if your only goal is to finish the game and of course, if you are a skilled player. On the other hand, if you are the type of player who wants to explore everything or if you are simply a bad player like me, you can easily reach 60 hours. Now, if you want to do more than one walkthrough, then you understand...
Story: The story keeps you engaged from beginning to end without getting boring. The game starts with a two-minute opening scene, which is meant to give you an idea of the story. Personally, I didn't catch anything. The truth is, you won't encounter any other scenes and the only way to understand the story is through the bosses, which I will talk about below, through dialogues with NPCs, and through the descriptions of items, whether they are weapons (swords, shields, etc.), materials, or rings. Therefore, the story is good and will only keep you interested if you yourself show interest. Note: I haven't played the previous two games, so I may not have understood some things from the beginning.Graphics, performance, and sound: I played the game on a PS4 Slim and I can say that I was satisfied. I didn't see anything that blew me away, but I can't say that the graphics weren't good. Beautiful landscapes, well-designed characters and enemies, and small details that made the experience enjoyable. However, in terms of sound, I'm not an expert, to be honest, so I'll just say that it was good. Finally, in terms of performance, the game runs smoothly at 30 fps with minor drops during some boss fights. However, I have to mention an issue I encountered with the camera. In a few boss fights, three to be exact, the camera couldn't lock onto the enemy. Despite that, I didn't have any other issues, no glitches or bugs.
Multiplayer: I didn't engage with the multiplayer at all, so I can't have an opinion. The only issue I encountered was that I would automatically invade other worlds during the game, for no reason, and that was because I was playing the game in online mode.
Gameplay: The game is demanding. I had never had contact with this type of game before, so I struggled quite a bit. After teaching you the basics through a tutorial, the game throws you into its beautiful and dangerous world. Let me make it clear from now on that the game doesn't forgive, so when you play, you have to be fully present. The difficulty level of the game is high, but that doesn't mean you can't play it, everyone can. So don't let reviews discourage you by saying that the game is not for everyone.
Environment and bosses: The game can stand out for its environment, the incredible variety and the details in the areas (from dense forests to catacombs), as well as the unique and enchanting bosses. Now, the bosses are a point I want to highlight. The bosses are carefully crafted. They are not just reskins like in other games, they are made from scratch and they are unique. Each boss has its own moves, and this means that you have to memorize new moves each time, the whole thing becomes more difficult when bosses change their moves during the battle, because the battle has waves and they are continuous. Finally, the music accompaniment of each battle with the bosses makes the experience even better, addictive, I could say.
DLC: The DLCs are sold separately from the game and the only way to acquire them is to buy them separately or get a version of the game that includes them. The DLCs of Dark Souls 3 are 2 in total and they are amazing, adding something extra to the game. Each DLC is an area in duration and includes 3 bosses each. Although 2 out of the 6 bosses are almost disappointing, the rest are "gems", especially the final boss in the second DLC, which takes place in the Ring City, is the best in the whole game overall.

Easily for me, it was the second best in the series. It surpasses the others in terms of bosses because it has many remarkable bosses. The DLC is what makes it even better. Personally, it was remarkable in terms of both bosses and lore, as well as gameplay. Now, onto the negatives: I will initially talk about the main game. In the main game, the areas were bittersweet. The beginning was mediocre, I can't say it was bad but compared to the other games, it was excessively mediocre. In terms of level design, it generally has good level design but it doesn't come close to Dark Souls 1 or Bloodborne. For me, the game becomes good in terms of areas from Irithyll onwards, especially when you reach a certain point that I don't want to spoil, but if you've played the first game, you will nostalgically appreciate it. Now for the two DLCs, Ariandel was a mediocre DLC overall, not that the area is bad, it's just excessively short and personally, it only had one good boss because overall there are only two bosses, one is a great boss and the other is an annoying disappointment. But overall, it was mediocre due to its duration. Now let's move on to the good DLC, the Ringed City, which was fantastic in terms of areas, lore, enemies, and bosses. The Ringed City had three fantastic bosses and one mediocre boss, which is not really a negative because they have created an online mode where you can become the boss. Comparing it to the Ringed City, it stands up to the DLC of the first game (regardless of the fact that Bloodborne has the best DLC). Dark Souls 3 objectively is a five-star game, but if I were to rate it compared to the other games in the series, it would be 4/5 because I try to be strict with it. I finished it 4 times, killing all the bosses, and I still haven't gotten bored of it.

I didn't like it and it is the second souls game along with the second one which really exhausted me instead of addicting me. Let's start with the "offline" mode. In terms of the story, the enemies compared to what the game provides are excessively difficult and the game focuses exclusively on them instead of the quality and puzzles of the areas. The game tries to showcase co-op through unfairness! Once, your worst enemy was the difficulty of the excellent puzzles of the areas, remember Undead Burg and Blighttown, and the strategic approach to Boss fights... now it has lost the quality and glory that the areas and bosses had. The lock on/off camera has become much worse in 2016, especially if you get stuck in corners. The connection between areas is not good!!! As for the online... forget about the nice backstab of Dark Souls 1 and Demon's Souls, also some of the dexterity weapons have been unfairly treated beyond measure, it focuses on pure strength/level up rather than tactical approaches. It does have some PvP areas but in most of them, it takes forever to find the host due to their enormous size. Compared to the second one, it is better. But in my opinion, if you want a Souls experience and above all quality, go for the first ones in the series if you haven't played them.
