I had bought it to digitize VHS tapes. Very poor quality, it took my soul to find drivers for Windows 7 and had a big lag in Ulead Video Studio, and it didn't record sound. If you want serious work, go for Pinnacle or Avermedia.

First of all, the price is excellent and if you play with the settings of VirtualDub and do the right render, it is truly HD EXCELLENT!!!

I recommend it only for someone to pass the time playing with video capture for creating rough videos and not for serious work. Do not expect it to support HD.
At maximum resolution for recording 720x576, a vertical thin red line (like a parasite) appears at the very edge of the image and remains there in the final recording file, while in all other resolutions it does not do this. And in Ulead VideoStudio that I tried it writes well even at high video bitrates, but the red line remains. With such a low price and quality of construction, I did not expect it to have no flaws. It does the job quickly for someone who wants quick work.
