I used them 3-4 times due to mastitis and very sore-bitten nipples in order to heal the wounds. The baby accepted them just fine, although he clearly preferred the breast over the plastic thing. However, they saved my breastfeeding journey. I was ready to give a bottle. I highly recommend them. (And very thin product)

It is very worth it for new moms. We came home on the first day and my wife's nipples were damaged from incorrect breastfeeding positioning. Before you get them, measure your nipples with a caliper. It has three sizes: small, medium, and large (16mm, 20mm, 24mm respectively). I got the small ones and they were exactly right. We are very satisfied.
