Pressing the SLEEP: button:
- the temperature will increase by 1°C per hour during the summer for the first 2 hours and will turn off after 8 hours.

I couldn't find the codes for my air conditioner, but I did an automatic scan and it found them by itself. Fortunately, it was in the 200-204 range. If it had been in the 5000 range, it would have taken 12 hours to reach there. Once the codes were entered, it communicated with the air conditioner and everything works perfectly.

The air conditioner for which I bought it is 15 years old, Chinese, and globally unknown. Therefore, automatic detection was needed. So, I pressed the select button and waited to see what would happen. In 10 seconds, I heard a beep, pressed OK, and... that was it. Everything worked perfectly. So, the total time spent on setting it up was 1 minute. To be honest, I couldn't believe it. That's how all products someone buys should work. Conclusion: the first time I didn't have to do anything for a device I bought to function. The 5-star rating is minimal, and the cost is minimal for what it offers. I'm thinking of buying a couple more as backups for my other air conditioners. Incredible device!

Did you find this review helpful?Great universal remote and very easy to program! It worked with my old Samsung air conditioner model SH12ZA1B from the first try. The code that worked for me was 0188, and all the functions were available. The display has a blue backlight and big characters and symbols so it's very easy to read, even at night.
Update: after a couple weeks of testing I noticed that the remote will not activate the AC if it weren't directly pointed at it. At first, this might sound awkward, but here's the catch: the old remote used to trigger a response no matter how I aim it "even if I aimed it in the opposite direction it would still work fine, and it's just an old fashioned IR remote, not a wifi/bluetooth one". This remote needs to be aimed at the AC, and won't work if it were aimed at the wall next to the AC, or too low below it. It can be an issue if you want to use the on/off timer, because it won't activate the AC if you have the remote lying on the table or sofa "even in open spaces with no obstacles between it and the AC".
