Description

The MPX-8 is a Pad controller with the capability of immediate sample use as you can "load" them via SD / SDHC cards and then use them with the pads, which are illuminated and sensitive.

The MPX-8 can be used easily either in the studio or live. The MPX-8 incorporates a USB port with which we can use any MIDI instrument/equipment.

Akai offers a free library of loops with the MPX-8, and there is the possibility to "download" a plethora of samples.

    Unique stand alone sampler choice! I have been using it for at least 5 years in live performances for small samples and it has never disappointed me! Be careful if you load it with large samples, it has a long loading time from bank to bank, but for small ones (like one-shot samples) it is a one-way street!
