I am very satisfied with the Pezzetti Steelexpress *2cups* Inox Silver (I always drink double espresso). Stylish coffee pot, without aluminum, prepares coffee - naturally without foam - in 1' on the gas stove. For those who prefer their coffee *very* hot, after serving we can put the cup with the coffee in the microwave for 15" to 30".

It has already paid for itself and seems quite sturdy, so I think it will last for years. It also came with a spare silicone gasket. It works on an induction stove. I think this size (4) or the slightly smaller one (3) is okay, but the immediately larger one (6) is too big.

If you want it to make espresso like espresso machines, then it DOES NOT do it, so 1 star. If, on the other hand, you want it to drink a coffee like filter coffee, then it does it perfectly, so maybe it deserves 5 stars. As for frothing, forget about it (see the photo). Of course, I'm not bothered by the fact that it doesn't froth, it's just that the taste doesn't come close to espresso from machines, so keep that in mind if you think you'll spend 25 euros and get the same result. Otherwise, if you don't mind and just want to drink a coffee quickly, even like this, it's an economical choice. I imagine that most briki of this kind will produce the same result in coffee.

A lifesaver for cases like mine where there is no space for an espresso machine or for someone who wants an espresso without all the mess of a machine (cleaning, steam release, etc.). I bought the briki mainly because I was desperately missing my freddo! And in the end... it worked! Finally, I can make a proper freddo at home (with Nespresso, I experienced the ultimate failure).
*Small tip for freddo: Get the blue Lavazza (crema e gusto), even though Oro is considered a better coffee. The blue one brings out the "bitterness" that we know from freddo espresso.
**The most important thing (again for freddo): Be careful not to let all the water come out in the briki (because the coffee will become too diluted and with the ice in the glass, it will become... watery).
With the 2-cup briki, you get a relatively small freddo. I also bought the 4-cup one for more... extra situations.

Sturdy and with a nice design. It brews coffee in 4-5 minutes (no need for hot water) and, I believe, with a cleaner taste than (good) aluminum ones. Pay attention to the water: first in the upper container (below the valve) and then put it in the base! I have been using it for 1 year and I am completely satisfied. It is easily kept clean.

Did you find this review helpful? I have been using it for about 2 years and my impressions are very good. First of all, it makes 4 cups of coffee instead of three like the (Bialetti Venus Espresso 4cups), it is made of the same material and at least 7-8 euros cheaper. As for the water that remains inside all the coffee pots, there is a small amount left. A little tip regarding its use, we put water in the container until 2 mm below the valve, and we never press the coffee, just lightly spread it inside the filter. Low heat and when it starts to produce coffee in the upper container (for 4 cups) and reaches the middle of the container, we close the eye or the gas valve (personally I prefer the gas valve for better control), and the coffee continues to flow. This results in the coffee not getting burned and only a very small amount of clean water remaining in the lower container (be careful when emptying the coffee into the cup, it should be done very slowly so that no coffee enters and returns from the flow tube back into the water container). I compare it to the Bialetti Venus Espresso 4cups since I have both and use them alternately.

Did you find this review helpful?I bought the briki from a well-known supermarket chain with a discount of 14 euros. I bought it to make freddo espresso because I was never satisfied with the capsules (even when I use 2). So, I turned to the solution of the briki instead of the coffee machine immediately, as from what I read, you need to "drip" at least 180 to get something decent... So, again, no... Regarding the briki:
1. I always use hot water, always below the valve level, and always fill it up with coffee, not pressed. I estimate that it needs around 20 grams of coffee. It produces about 150ml of result.
2. The extraction with hot water takes about 1 minute without burning the coffee. With cold water, it takes quite a while, and I believe it burns the coffee.
3. Cleaning is easy, and its components are of good quality.
4 (and most importantly) the coffee: I have tried supermarket coffee so far, I don't have a grinder, and I don't know about the grind size. With Dimello Gusto (4), I had a very, very good freddo espresso. Even though the coffee doesn't come out with crema because it is "beaten," it still results in a lasting foam. I also tried Lavazza Rossa, but I wasn't as satisfied with its taste.
Overall, we are talking about a very safe choice. With capsules, I never had a decent freddo, just watery results. With this, I saved myself for the days when I want to make a freddo at home.Translated from Greek ·- Coffee quality

Initially, as already mentioned, this type of briki does not make espresso coffee but moka. The basic rules of use are that we always fill the water container below the valve and in the coffee part we always put the amount of coffee to fill the filter without pressing it and we always make sure that the point that will seal the rubber is clean from coffee. Otherwise, either the coffee will take a long time to come out, or the water will start running from the joint. It is also important when the device is new, and as the instructions state, to always throw away the first few coffees. This specific briki was purchased to replace an aluminum bialletti moka express on offer for 12 euros, and although I had doubts about its quality at first, the result proved me wrong. The coffee comes out relatively quickly (about 1 minute on a gas stove) and without being burnt, which I suppose is helped by the fact that it is stainless steel. The water container holds a sufficient amount of water and personally I fill it halfway for the amount of coffee I want. Finally, I believe that the briki is very good for the price it was purchased, but if it cost more, I would prefer the equivalent bialletti

First of all, I believe that moka pots should not be compared to espresso machines. They are different things. Personally, I have been using an espresso machine for many years and I bought the moka pot for cases of power outages, malfunctions, etc. In the end, it exceeded all my expectations in terms of the taste of the coffee it makes. Having had an aluminum moka pot in the past, I can have an opinion on which material is more suitable. The stainless steel from which this specific one is made is not only more suitable from a health perspective, but it also has lower thermal conductivity than aluminum, resulting in it being somewhat slower in preparation but it keeps the filter area at a lower temperature, thus avoiding the "burning" of the coffee. No bitterness, rich aroma. Furthermore, the gasket of the moka pot is made of silicone, which is also very hygienic, it does not add any flavor and is expected to last much longer than the rubber ones. I did not experience any sealing problems and as an object, the coffee maker is beautiful. All of these, combined with its relatively low price, make me give it five stars.
A negative aspect, as others have mentioned, is that indeed there remains a small amount of water in the container after the brewing process, making the cleaning process more difficult than usual, but for me, this is not enough to reduce my satisfaction with the device. I simply remove the coffee container always over the sink because inevitably some water will spill.
As for the issue mentioned regarding the valve, it should NEVER be covered by water, even in small amounts, because then no moka pot of this kind will function properly. Those who violate this rule should not complain, it is not the fault of the coffee maker but the incorrect use of it.
In the end, after experimenting with the quantities of coffee and water, I am so satisfied with the moka pot that I could have it as my only coffee maker.
CAUTION! You should not press the coffee grounds in the filter because the water does not have enough pressure to pass through compressed coffee and it escapes as steam from the pressure valve. 2019-01-24Expert userI have been using it on a daily basis for almost 2 years. It makes okay coffee and preserves the aroma of the espresso. However, if you add even a few extra drops of water beyond the permissible limit, after the water boils, it starts to leak from everywhere. Also, I noticed that after the first few uses, there is always water left in the bottom part, which will spill outside the cup, so you will have to clean everything with a wet cloth, whether you want to or not. Finally, the cleaning process is a bit of a hassle since you have to rinse 3 different parts + the water-coffee that you poured in the attempt to put it in the cup. Considering the quality of the moccachino it produces, I don't think it's worth all the trouble. I gave it as a gift to a friend and went and bought an espresso machine and finally found peace.
MAIN NEGATIVE POINT: Let's not forget that the average time to make coffee with this tool is 7-10 minutes (tested in many kitchens + gas stove), which is why I believe it doesn't even deserve 3 stars!
