  Noctua is the standard by which coolers are measured. In my opinion, it is the second-best air cooling solution on the market, aside from the NH-D15 which has 2 fans. It performs similarly to dual-fan liquid coolers, without the risk of failure or leakage. I am looking forward to its successor, which is rumored to be released in 2022.

  It's bulky but worth every last cent!
  Attention! It requires at least 165mm CPU cooler clearance in the case you will install it.
  After a lot of searching, I ended up with air-cooling to avoid the problems of fancy AIOs with pumps that stop and radiators that leak, since it's a workstation build without RGB.
  It's the improved version of the NH-D15 with a larger gap between the cooler and the GPU and -1 front fan, allowing the installation of high-profile RAM like mine (g.skill trident z neo). You can also add a 120mm fan in the front, but it will completely hide the RAM (in case you want RGB RAM).
  It's completely silent! I have it on a Ryzen 9 5950x (non-OC) which is considered one of the hottest processors in a machine for CPU rendering, and you can't even tell!
  And in terms of design... the black color simply rocks, even without the separately sold covers.
  The only downside is its size, which makes it slightly difficult to install in typical/small cases like the Corsair 4000D or the Be quiet 500DX.

  Initial evaluation with an old Phenom II 6 core 1090T from 2011 that was getting very hot (update for Ryzen 5 3600 below):
  It's worth the money! The build quality is evident even in the packaging, very well-made. As for performance, it keeps the processor 20C-30C cooler than the stock cooler, and it runs completely silently at 800 RPM at idle (while the stock cooler was struggling at 3000 - 4000 RPM and sounded like an airplane, even though it was clean and had new thermal paste, and it was 20C-30C hotter!). I also tried it at 1300 RPM through the BIOS, and it was still quiet! Even with heavy load (intensive games + multiple programs + 20+ active tabs in browsers, etc.), at around 85%-90% CPU usage, it didn't even notice. I was amazed because I have a very hot room! Note A: I intentionally didn't mention absolute temperature values (only the difference compared to the stock cooler) because the final temperature depends on the room and case temperature. If you have those set correctly, the processor will be cool! Note B: Due to a small case and a very large 1000 watt PSU, it was a bit challenging to install, but under normal conditions, I think it would have been much easier. Otherwise, I could have easily positioned it to blow downwards if needed, but I wanted it to blow directly towards the back exhaust of the case, so the wide side touched the PSU slightly. It was definitely worth it and more!

  Update 2021:
  I still use it without any issues, now with Ryzen 5 3600, it works perfectly. Under heavy load with games and background programs, it reaches a maximum of 35-40 degrees (idle but in a very hot room) and 60-65 degrees under heavy load (obviously in the same very hot room). Since the new computer is in a much larger case and there is plenty of space, I regret not getting the larger NH-D15 version (without the S) with the two 14cm fans. Of course, a second fan can be added later, but since the new cases comfortably accommodate it, there is no reason to choose the smaller one, and the price difference is small.

  One of the most premium! With i7-9700k and its own thermal paste, it reaches about 29-34 degrees idle, in a Sharkoon Pure Steel Black case and with one low-profile Noctua fan. It reaches 47-52 degrees under load when using Photoshop and Autodesk Fusion 360 rendering with Chrome open and multiple tabs running.

  It has the performance of a liquid cooling system, costs half the price, and you will have it for a lifetime without any damage.

  I wish it was a bit cheaper.

  I ordered the NHD15 and they sent me this one. I didn't have the courage to go through the process of sending it back and waiting another 10 days for the right one to arrive. For psychological reasons, I also bought an NF-F12 pwm fan (not that I needed it). So, I gave an extra twenty bucks, but I gained absolute compatibility for any memory and the best cooling you can have without water.
  AMD [email protected] in silent mode and the fans at 500-530 RPM only reached over 1000 RPM on Intel burning, but still, you can't hear anything. ONLY NOCTUA guys, THE END

  It's unbelievable, and if someone told me, I wouldn't believe it. Before, I had installed this particular NOCTUA, a top-of-the-line cooler with a 250W TDP from THERMALTAKE, with TWO 120mm fans configured as intake/exhaust.

  The result is 10-13 degrees LOWER than the previous cooler at full OC 4.5 GHz (50-53 C compared to the previous 60-63). It's unbelievable, I can't believe it. Before, I didn't have a crappy cooler, I had the best and most expensive cooler from THERMALTAKE.

  The other thing is that my system has become completely silent. Now, I can only hear the PSU fan slightly and the... refrigerator in my house.

  And all of this is done by the Austrians with just ONE fan. You pay 80 euros, but you never have to worry again.

  I highly recommend it! H TOP air cooling is my personal opinion and experience with this product. It cannot be compared to any other. It is an incredible tool if someone does not want liquid cooling. I use it on an i7-8700k. It keeps the temperature at 25-30 degrees Celsius when idle and 60-65 degrees Celsius during heavy gaming, even with additional software running in the background. All of this with just one fan. Unfortunately, if someone wants a second fan, they have to purchase it separately. It is not included in the packaging, unlike the D15 model.

  Silent quality Noctua.

  I have the fan pinned only at 500 RPM!!! (meaning the cooler is running at about 30%) and the Ryzen 2600 in gaming gives me a higher temperature of 49c with a room temperature of 22c.
  Needless to say, you simply can't hear anything :)
  With these settings, I ran a stress test (Prime95) for 20 minutes and the temperature reached up to 62c!!
  I'm writing it again to believe it:
  Noctua running at 30% and seeing only 62c in Prime95!!!
  What else can I say?
  I had years of Corsair liquid cooling but after Noctua, there's no reason to look back.

  The only thing you need is the NH-D15s and a case with proper airflow (I have the Corsair Air 740).
  And then let the others with liquid cooling complain about broken pumps and strange noises...

  The Psyctra is truly excellent. On a 4790k during summer, the maximum temperature in an Aida stress test (only FPU) is 80°C. In normal gaming (Witcher, GTA V, etc.), the maximum temperature is 65°C (room temperature is 30-32°C). It loses one star because it only has one fan instead of two, like the NH-D15 (the fan costs an additional 20-25 euros if purchased separately). The clearance for the first PCI-e slot and the RAM is just right. I have it on a micro-ATX motherboard with the GPU in the first slot and HyperX Beast RAM. Everything fits perfectly without any difficulty. The mounting system is truly easy.

  The difference with the NH-D15 is that the cooler is slightly offset further away from the graphics card. Compatibility issues are solved this way.
  If you want a second fan, simply add it. The mounting clips for a second fan are included in the package.

  I have it for a week (the RESERATOR 3 MAX ZALMAN spit them out after 18 months) and it is, so far, incredible. Completely silent and in idle mode it keeps the i7-4770k at 30 degrees.
