Anna Laskari, a descendant of the royal family of the Laskaris, is a doctor in Nicaea of Bithynia, the region that hosted the exiled capital of Romania after the destruction of 1204. Her brother Eustathios Laskaris is involved in a conspiracy against King Michael VIII Palaiologos.
