I give it 3 stars because after two quite challenging summers, I took it for service to the company to have them replace the 2 metal rods that hold the spokes... the clowns at the company replaced 1 of the 2 (10 working days later) and charged me normally for both without doing the job... the result is that I took it with me on vacation thinking that the rods had indeed been replaced and in strong wind the old wire disintegrated and took the second one with it, resulting in the umbrella breaking...

Did you find this review helpful?I have used it ten times and I am satisfied. The "ears" of the umbrella are convenient because as the position of the sun changes, I either open them or rotate the umbrella around its axis and adjust the shade to the spot we want.
A downside is that it has a very long pole and does not fit in the trunk or at the feet in the back seat. Only in the front passenger seat upright. The good thing is that I can almost stand under the umbrella.
Also a downside is that the outside of the umbrella is blue instead of silver like most umbrellas, resulting in it gathering heat underneath.
The pole is 32mm.
In the wind, there is still no problem.

Import from a well-known umbrella company that also imports another well-known brand for the beaches.
Indeed, with the hammer stake, the umbrella stands quite high, but the 4 stakes help with good stabilization, while the windows help with coolness under the umbrella and the passage of air without affecting the good stabilization.
It seems quite high quality, and so far I have no issues.
The 4 stars for two reasons:
1st it does not have tilt
2nd if the umbrella's pole were 20 centimeters shorter, it would secure better in the hammer stake. Of course, at the dealership, they told me that the umbrella is also for side placement, which is why the length is this way on the pole. However, for the side position, it requires you to terminate the umbrella pole at the base pole, so again if the pole were 20 centimeters shorter, it would work perfectly in both upright and side positions!
UPDATE:
I went to the company to have them replace a piece of silicone that came off the clamp of the stake where the umbrella goes and was not supporting properly. They put new silicone on and glued it to the screw holder so it wouldn't come off again.
I would suggest you do the same and glue the silicone to its holder.
2nd UPDATE:
I went to a camping store and bought metal stakes and a special set of ropes for tent stakes (you can see a related photo), and this gave me more confidence in the stabilization.

1) The base does not screw into the sand, so you need to find an alternative solution, like the mentioned hammer in other comments. I used a screw base from Jumbo that I had on hand, and it worked well.
2) The screw for the two poles broke off in my hand. It was stuck with a terrible silicone that had almost liquefied due to the heat. It's ridiculous because it should have been screwed or factory welded.
3) I would give it 4 stars if it had the option to tilt the pole like other umbrellas.
4) When you lay it completely flat, you have to come up with a trick to secure it so that the pole doesn't lift. Both parts of the pole could have a hole, so that the bottom part stays vertical in the sand and the top part can easily attach to it. If it had that, it would deserve 5 stars.
5) The difficult transportation is a major drawback. Even in my SUV, it doesn't fit in the trunk when laid flat. Of course, it's somewhat expected for such a large umbrellaTranslated from Greek ·- Shade

We had the EXACT same experience as the user nopasaran's previous review. It cannot be repaired. 50 euros wasted. With a sturdy handle it stands tall and is not good if it blows a lot (5-6 Beaufort), I put it low with pegs and it was fine even with stronger wind! It is used almost daily for a period of 2 months in Crete and Gavdos with strong winds and it still holds up. Some modifications should be made to the pegs and the pole should be replaced with a sturdier one. The only tents that withstand the beach wind are this one and the salty tribe. One disadvantage which can be "fixed" is that it does not combine with a hammer handle unless you cut the clamp, as it is not on the detachable handle but on the umbrella frame, resulting in it not fitting into any hammer. It had only been used 3 times on sandy beaches, and on the 4th time when I tried to screw it in, the plastic broke.
