First purchase from oilstores in Peristeri, very careful packaging, quick service, politeness, and availability of the latest version (API SP 2024 and not SN). I wanted a good 5w40 this time. This one has numerous approvals from almost the entire European automotive industry. I will take it to my garage and will return with impressions. Update after a trip to Fthiotida and Phocis (from Athens) on national roads as well as mountainous routes, the impressions are excellent. Smooth start and mainly top performance at high speeds and turns where the noise levels are truly lower than what I have tried so far (and I have tried several brands of lubricants such as Valvoline, Liqui Moly, Total, Cyclon, Shell). The most important thing, however, is the regular oil changes ideally every 5-7000 km because after this limit the main additive (anti-wear) zddp - which is contained in every lubricant - is usually depleted. I use it in a vw turbo direct injection for 90k, of which 60k are improved, usually in this car I change them due to time and not mileage.
It is the only oil that does not consume it on long trips, it has a lower evaporation rate and a higher evaporation temperature than all the well-known ones I have used, proven in practice and not on paper that this or that do not clearly mention all the companies. in the same way to be comparable...
Anything else I have tried over time after 3k on trips starts to consume it - evaporate.
In everyday city use, they all behave more or less the same in terms of consumption.I have an aftermarket crankcase ventilation container and it is the only oil that captures the least fumes, I empty it and clean the diaphragm filters once every 2 changes without having captured any significant amount of fumes. With others at 7k together with the change, I have to empty it because it is almost full.
From one change to another, I never top up with other lubricants, I need to top up twice every 7k if I go on trips.
I have seen similar behavior in the normal 1.8 tsi stock family car, but a friend of mine has also told me about the 20vt with an improved engine in all areas as long as he uses it after my recommendations.

Vectra c GTS OPC LINE very good oil does not burn almost like electric noise change every 8000km approximately not missing a gram at the change as much as it sounds exaggerated while with another brand the tappets were in my ears! And the price? amazing.

I can't say if it's better or worse oil than others because you see the effects over time and only if you have tried something else can you make a comparison. However, the car is a Renault with a tuned engine at 280 PS and from the first day I bought it, I have been using ELF. Regular oil changes at 7000 to 8000 km and respect for the engine's operation until it reaches normal operating temperature. 200,000 km and the engine runs smoothly 18 years after its purchase!!! I wouldn't risk changing to something else...

I have in my possession a Renault Laguna 1.6 '05 with 131,000 km. So far, always using elf lubricants, the engine has not burned a drop of oil.
