It seems well made, I hope it lasts and we will see next summer. I gave it 1 star because of the very poor programming method and the extremely inadequate manual. It has several watering options in times, days, programs, etc., but the way you program them is very, very bad. Perhaps the worst system in a watering programmer among those I have tried, and it's a shame because it has many buttons and a large screen, but still, it's a puzzle and allows mistakes to happen.
I have three of them, in three spots in the garden. Flawless. They have never gotten stuck. Even the old one with a broken lid, its screen has never gotten wet.
It cost me 1300 euros plus the cost of purchasing for 3 programmers... I also bought 7000 and 9000 series. The 1300 went to EYDAP... due to excessive consumption caused by the programmers' negligence, as for the dealership (AGRODOMI).... constantly trying to prove that it is not an elephant... and that everything is perfect. In the last incident, they disappeared completely.
I have bought 4 of these for 5 years. Two of them had a screen malfunction and although they still functioned, the screen was affected by moisture and couldn't be programmed. Despite being waterproof, I checked the latest one and it had a lot of water inside, probably from rain. I don't think I would recommend it to you because it lets water in, so it's useless. I think the one without a screen would be better.
The ability for circular watering is very convenient. Overall, a decent programmer but expensive for what it offers.
Ten years ago, I bought 3 identical Galcon 9001D and until today, 2 of them still work perfectly (the third one recently broke). They are placed in a garden, exposed to sun, rain, and snow. They are very easy to program in any combinations one can think of. When I don't use them, from autumn to spring, I don't disconnect them from the network, but I cover them well with transparent membrane. They are the best value for money I have ever bought, as they replaced a bunch of Gardena irrigation programmers, cheap and expensive ones, which in the same exact conditions didn't even have half the lifespan. As for the problem with the battery door mentioned by other users, if you find the right way to place it, without pressure and the risk of breaking it, it stays intact forever.
I have 2 of these programmers for about 10 years. They have endured rain, snow, and 40-degree heat without any protection. They work perfectly without any leaks. The only flaw I found is the battery door that doesn't close properly, but I have fixed it with tape.
It was purchased due to the good reviews, but it proved to be unreliable within the first 15 days of operation. Initially, the setup was easy and the installation as well. However, during the first test, I started to see water droplets falling from the battery chamber. After confirming that there was no leakage from the connections, I removed the battery and noticed that it was wet. I isolated the battery with a bag and insulating material and let it operate, which it did. Today, 2 weeks later, it stopped working. The battery indicator still shows even with a new fully charged battery, and the manual watering function also does not work, meaning the solenoid valve does not open at all. The garden is on the verge of dying in the heat, so you cannot rely on this machine. It's a waste of money.
Quite a good programmer, easy installation and simple programming (especially compared to engineers who have rotary controls). I would say its durability is good, but one I had in another watering point broke in 2 years (the valve does not isolate well). The issue is with its plastic exterior, which I find very fragile. It has broken the screen door and the battery cover
Very good.
I had it for 6 years, non-stop.
Only battery replacement.
This year it broke on me, and I will buy the same one.
I have had this programmer for 10 years. It works perfectly. I have tried more than ten other programmers after him, different brands, and I have thrown them all away. The only thing I did with this one is that I made him a cover. When I bought it, it cost around 60 euros. Today, when it is cheaper, buying it is a one-way street.
Very good programmer. I got one eight years ago and now I got another one because he is reliable, easy to program with options that satisfy all needs, and he has really withstood water use with excessive salt that other programmers, more expensive or cheaper, break in three or four years. Finally, with a very good battery (Duracell or Energizer type) for at least two years, you don't need to do anything.
I have it for three years. No problem until today. I use one for the garden (2 watering per week) and another one for trees (one watering per week). The battery lasts almost two years. It has not caused me any problem until today. I highly recommend it.
