It looks good....time will show how reliable it is. Negative for me that there is no LED light and that there is no way to manually water. It could have an extra setting in the programs for on-the-spot watering without losing the initial program selection
If you have multiple faucets with a programmer, buying a claber is the only way to go. The main advantage is that if the battery dies, the solenoid valve remains closed. It is also important to note that spare parts are available, such as rubber seals, body, solenoid valve, etc. In a vacation home with high salt content in the water, 8 programmers have been functioning for about 10 years. With a torx set, you can easily disassemble the solenoid valve mechanism, clean the spring and the rusty barrel with WD40 and sandpaper, and it will be as good as new. With the above "service," I have encountered the following issues over the years: 2 broken bodies at the neck, 1 solenoid valve, around 10 rubber seals. Pay attention to whether the programs cover your needs. Lastly, if you have a green and an orange programmer, they are the same, so you can switch the control panel and bodies.
I have bought 2 for watering in my country house. I have had them for 1 year and everything is as it should be. Programs that cover all tastes. I will buy another one for another group of plants.
Compared to other brands, it is more expensive but more durable. We use it on an island with difficult weather conditions and it is the only one that has lasted for 3 years. The others would break faster. I recommend it!
- Easy installation
- Reliability - It has been working continuously for 2 years and has not yet needed a battery replacement
- Easy programming - Simply choose from the list which of the 15 preset programs you want to run
- Sturdy construction - It is not like other products in the same price range that break in the middle
NEGATIVES
- I would like it to have a light that turns on when the battery is about to run out. There is no way to check this, and when I need to leave for vacation, I have to remove the old battery and replace it with a new one to make sure it won't leave the plants unwatered while I'm away, and when I return, I put the old battery back on. If I constantly replace and throw away the old batteries, I will be wasting batteries for no reason, which is not good for the environment or my wallet.
- I would like it to have a button that I can press to water the plants in case, for example, I think that for those specific 2-3 days it is hotter or if I just want to run water at that moment to check and maintain the nozzles without interrupting the existing watering cycle. I say this because if I want it to water at 5 pm, but I have time to check the nozzles at 9 pm, I will press it at 9 to run water for maintenance, and then it will be left to water at 9 instead of 6, which is what I want, unless I remember the next day to go out and press it at 6 to resume the normal schedule. IF I am at home the next day and not traveling and IF I remember. I have to set an alarm, for example, to remember and not let it water in the middle of the night. You might say, "why do you care if it waters in the middle of the night?" Well, I don't care so much about that as I care about it not coinciding and watering at the same time as one of the other 4 sprinklers I have, which would reduce the water flow. That's why I divided the garden into so many sections, to water them properly. If the next day I hear another sprinkler watering and I say, "Oh, yes, I have to go as soon as this one finishes to activate the other one!" In 5 minutes, I have forgotten or have some other more urgent task to do and say that I will do it tomorrow, and it remains watering at any random time for weeks.
- I would like it to have a shorter watering program. Let's say 1 or 2 minutes every 24 hours. The shortest program available right now for watering once a day is 5 minutes. It may seem little, but 5 minutes is A LOT if you have 5 pots. No matter how much you close the nozzles, your balcony will just flood. Personally, I have another reason to want to save water, as I water from a tank that collects rainwater in the winter, so I don't have the luxury of wasting endless cubic meters for no reason.
Reliable and easy to use. I have 5 that all work perfectly. I am thinking of getting two more for the new trees I will plant. It is worth its money. Without a second thought.
This program is not suitable for watering garden and courtyard with pots. I'm talking about this specific type. I made a mistake because I had the same one but it had a different program and I didn't notice. Now I will order the AQUAUNO SELECT 8423 from the same company.
Reliable, worth its money, I have bought four in total. It has an electric valve and not a ball, even if the battery runs out, it will not get stuck with the flow open.
We have exactly the same one here for 25 years. It still works without any problems. I can't believe it's still available. I bought a second one without hesitation
I installed it today. I was impressed by its simplicity of use. The programs it has are extensive. It is probably meant for a large garden and not for a balcony. There is another model for balconies. As for the build quality, it is simply good. Only time will tell how reliable it is.
