In the mid-19th century, two trends dominated the still young Greek kingdom: the first supported that we should rely on the glorious past with the hope that foreigners would offer everything to our country, dazzled by ancient glory, while the second believed that we should first stand firmly on our own feet, become a state, and then showcase the achievements of our divine ancestors to achieve global recognition. These opposing views are expressed by the two central heroes, the brothers Aristodemos and Dimitrakis, who are in constant dispute with each other. Who is right? The author provides the answer in an allegorical manner.
