  Thirty-something years of abuse, to the degree of a felony. Left neglected without the slightest care—no cleaning—inside the car winter-summer, worn under the eyepiece of my camera, constantly pressing them into the corners of my eyes. My sweat dried on them so many times that it eventually oxidized the metal inside the plastic on the arms. The arms themselves look ready to fall apart.
  Yesterday I remembered them, took them out of the car, cleaned them thoroughly, and discovered that the lenses have NOT a single mark, scratch, etc. A little while ago I wore them on my morning walk, and the view you get looking through them is amazing.
  The colors are truly neutral (as they should be with all gray lenses), the clarity of the crystals is impressive, and the distortion is nonexistent.
  How well they sit on the head, while the arms look worn out, is truly inexplicable. The cherry on top is the magical material on the nose pads, which do not slip at all, even though I have a slippery nose by nature.
  I have five or six other pairs of glasses, much more well-known as brands, and much newer, but I will definitely buy another pair of AO at some point

  Timeless good quality product is very absorbent and comfortable for the eyes, excellent durability over time, disadvantage the extra weight but when you get used to it there is no problem..!!

  I haven't bought them myself, but I have my grandfather's pair. He used them during his time in the aviation industry, and they would give this specific pair to those who flew. They have truly lasted all these years with the same lenses and no issues with the frame. They are of very good quality and have an unbeatable vintage look

  The best in glasses in my opinion. American Optical has been producing this glass since 1960 and has been around since 1833. Classic model and design. With a glass lens and metal frame, the glass feels heavy, sturdy, with excellent construction quality. The glass lens shows everything very clearly, very comfortable to the eye, and not dark even in lower lighting conditions like dusk. The Bayonet temple is something special that you don't see in other glasses and incredibly convenient, don't be surprised, you don't feel any pain after hours of use, especially if you wear headphones. The construction does not resemble Ray Ban at all, which now in comparison to this and the corresponding Ray Ban (Caravan), the Ray Ban seemed cheap and fake. It was purchased for 80 euros, with the classic soft case and 1 year warranty from American Optical. For this money, I believe it is the best in terms of quality, price, and design. I highly recommend them.
