The MikroTik home Access Point lite (hAP lite) is a truly small device for your small apartment, home, or office. It has a WPS button, which allows synchronization with another wireless device without typing the password. It can also function as a cAP and connect to CAPsMAN with the press of a button.

I bought it because I needed a VPN at some point. The installation was done online by someone I knew in 15 minutes. It worked perfectly as long as I needed it, it didn't freeze. It goes back in its box after completing the task it was purchased for until the next time. I didn't use the wifi at all, it doesn't have 5ghz, but you don't expect that for less than 30 euros.
Mistakenly categorized as an access point, this particular device functions perfectly fine as a router, it just also has wireless LAN. For someone who wants to learn Mikrotik's Router OS and experiment with networking, it is the best 20€ you can spend. The wireless functionality did not impress me at all; it is very difficult to configure and not powerful enough to be used solely as a wireless access point, so don't get it with that expectation. This is due to the fact that it does not have a regular antenna, but rather a microstrip antenna. Additionally, the hardware is quite weak and will not perform well in complex scenarios. If you have a small house and a speed of up to 50Mbps, then it will do the job just fine. If you need it for work with many clients and multiple QoS settings, it's better to go for the Hex (I have it in a small hotel and it literally flies). Regardless, for its price, it is golden
The cheapest Mikrotik router to set up a decent network at home or in a small business, attention it is not intended for beginners. RouterOS is a complete router operating system based on Linux that has nothing to envy from expensive Cisco IOS and requires networking knowledge to be configured. Some guides are provided for easy setup, but beyond that, one must know how to tailor it to their needs. The options and capabilities it offers for 24 euros are endless and surpass any home market router like tp-link, etc. It is small in size with a mini USB port for charging, 4x 100Mbps ports, and a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi radio. It does not have a strong signal due to the antenna size, although it covers an apartment. If you desire something powerful, connect an Access Point to the Mikrotik, the difference in signal strength is at least 10x (45dB vs 34dB). In conclusion, it is a good device for the money that truly offers a lot of customization and capabilities. It is worth it for learning networking in a lab or in one's own room because it provides capabilities similar to much more expensive routers for just 24 euros.
The most value-for-money router! Incredible customization, you can configure it to do everything. Not recommended for users who do not have knowledge of networks, as the environment is complex due to the multitude of settings.
