very small basket for popcorn. You struggle to clean it. Aside from its beauty, it is impractical. And its price is high for the hassle it causes. Other than that, it pops the popcorn normally, but don't think that there aren't unpopped kernels as well

However, I would like to mention some negatives that did not particularly suit us. We are a family of six and we need a large quantity of popcorn. The pot of the device is small for our quantity, so in order to make a satisfactory amount for everyone, at least six batches need to be made. The result is that you cannot relax because you constantly have to get up to refill the pot. And if you use more than one batch, then there are many unpopped popcorn kernels. Another negative that I find, which cannot be avoided, is the fact that it does not stop cooking on its own, but as soon as you hear the popping of the popcorn stop, you have to turn it off yourself and flip the pot upside down so that they fall into the bin immediately, otherwise they burn. It's logical, just a little inconvenient. It is easy to clean despite what is said. With a simple wipe of a damp cloth, it cleans even from butter residue that I constantly use. A suggestion for those interested in cooking with butter: use Milba, it is clarified cow butter, the most suitable and healthy for popcorn.

The handling and cleaning are very simple, quick, and it is difficult to make a mistake.
The quality of the corn plays an important role and from there on, everyone can do whatever they want, some only add corn, others add butter, oil, salt in the pot, salt afterwards, etc....
For me, if I add oil and a little salt in the pot, the popcorn turns out like in the cinema, it just makes cleaning the machine a little more difficult if salt is added to the pot.
I like them with olive oil in the whole measuring cup because they come out softer and then I add salt.
I add about one and a half measuring cups of corn because that way more popcorn comes out, the machine doesn't need to run a second time even if some unpopped ones come out.... there are very few unpopped ones....

You spend a few minutes at the beginning to understand how it works and then you do it mechanically, it is very easy. You turn it on for 5 minutes to warm up, pour in the oil and popcorn with the measuring cup it has, press the button and in a few seconds you see them magically popping out. There are no unpopped kernels left, you can never go wrong following the steps. The quality of the popcorn is not that of the cinema, but it is very close (definitely healthier). As for cleaning, it did not bother me much, with 2-3 movements you have restored it to its original state. The only negative is that each "portion" is enough for only one adult and most of the time the process will have to be repeated (you cannot put many more in the container because they will not cook properly). I came across the Sogo among others, and I bought it solely because it had good reviews. After using it for a month, I can say that it is the most economical and reliable popcorn machine you can have at home! It doesn't produce burnt or soggy popcorn, as long as you use the right amount of oil (less than what the measuring cup asks for) and the right amount of corn kernels (exactly what the measuring cup asks for). BE CAREFUL with the quality of the popcorn, the machine can't work miracles if you use corn that has moisture in it. So, prefer airtight packaging and even better if it's organic (non-GMO) and not loose. The whole process is very entertaining, and for 2 people who eat generous portions, you will need approximately 3-4 measuring cups (at a time). I highly recommend it, it was my last hope before going for the more expensive professional machines that simply produce larger quantities. I hope I helped if you are looking for a popcorn machine and are afraid of the risk of spending 99 euros compared to the result. Also, the build quality is okay, and I haven't had any difficulties with cleaning, as some other reviews I read mentioned. One last important thing, never put anything other than oil and salt (if desired) where they cook, as it is a small non-stick surface, you don't want charcoal in there for many reasons. The basket in which the popcorn is cooked is like a non-stick pan in the shape of a small pot. Therefore, you can put anything inside that won't damage the non-stick coating (seasonings, butter, oils, etc.). Basically, it doesn't need to be washed with detergent, just wiped with paper. The exterior construction is plastic without giving the impression of good quality, but it doesn't really matter since you only realize it when you touch it. Apart from the door, there is no other moving part that doesn't look high-quality. The main components seem excellent.
It heats up in 5 minutes and within the next 5, the popcorn starts popping. You need to be careful with the amount of corn you put in the basket because if you put too much, with the first popcorn that pops, it will also spit out uncooked corn kernels. It's logical that if you overload it, half of the kernels will fall to the base uncooked. However, there's no need to worry because once you collect the popped popcorn, you can throw in the kernels that didn't pop.
Personally, I would prefer the cooking pot to be a bit bigger. With its current size, one batch produces a large bowl of popcorn, imagine for corn flakes breakfast. I would like it to produce a large salad bowl so that I would be perfectly happy! Muahahahaha
