I don't know about my friend Dimitris, but it didn't overheat for me, it just got warm. Prefer s-video connection over component for video, the picture is clearly better. On Windows 10, it connected normally with the instructions. The digitizing software included works, but it's a bit confusing, I prefer OBS. For digitizing analog media, it does its job decently. For the money, it's OK.

I used it in OBS for VHS recording. It overheated, resulting in laggy image. In the end, I ended up putting a small fan on top of it with a Greek invention! It didn't do anything! Also, it would disconnect whenever it wanted, and at one point OBS didn't recognize it! Just spend more money to get good equipment!! Terrible product! Stay away!!!!!

This particular product was used for digitizing old VHS tapes into MP4 files.
Simply excellent, you buy it and do your job, it didn't present any problems at all.
The only negative thing I have to say is that the accompanying software is faulty, it only kept the last 20 minutes of a 60-minute video after recording, with audio delay, etc. I recommend using Win Movie Maker as a program, it is excellent for capturing.
