It is a wonderful lens that is worth its money. I bought it for use with an adapter on my RP camera, which does not have the same autofocus capabilities as the rest of Canon's R series, and that's why I also bought the USB Dock, which the amazing Japanese company Sigma has designed for micro-adjustments within the lens itself and parallel adjustments in the submenus of my camera. The result (especially for fast photography like birds) is amazing. It may not be the simplest and easiest, but in order to achieve the same image quality, one would have to spend twice the amount.
I ordered the lens at the end of February. I have no complaints about the store. I received it very quickly and they were helpful.
The lens had debris on the internal crystals, most likely from the factory.
I contacted the store and they replaced the lens with a new one, which has MARKS on two internal crystals. I don't know if they affect the photos, but I consider it the worst purchase I have ever made, when I could have bought something else with these specifications.
Also, the lens caps (front and back) are not of the highest quality that a lens costing around a thousand could have.
Anyone who wants to spend a thousand and deal with things that shouldn't happen with a new lens, can do it.
I would not recommend this particular lens due to factory negligence.
Its technical specifications are generally very good.
I have had him for almost 4 years and he has made me look good in everything I have done, from marathon races to air combat demonstrations. He is the best when it comes to his money.
This specific lens is a "diamond" for its price!! In any case, it fully justifies its price, as it has a bunch of "goodies" and useful features! After all, one could not expect anything less from this brand!! The fact that it is a heavy lens is a downside, but for this specific focal range, the technologies and the quality it carries, its weight is expected, resulting in it not being characterized as a negative characteristic at all! I recommend it as the best possible choice in terms of quality/price ratio!
The lens is very good for the range it offers. I use it with a Nikon D5500.
The positives: Quality construction, sturdy and sharp even at 600mm. Normal weight for its size, but you get tired after a while as it weighs about 2 kilograms. It also accepts firmware upgrades, which improve focusing speed, the optical stabilizer, and you can make customized settings.
The negatives: The focusing speed is not the fastest. For fast-moving subjects, it could be better, focusing with greater speed and accuracy. Of course, it also depends on the camera body. I assume it would perform better on more expensive bodies. The optical stabilizer does a pretty good job, but it could also be better. I would have liked it to have some features from the more expensive series (150-600 s), but the price difference is very large, 1670 euros.
At 1250 euros, there is also the Tamron 150-600 G2, which might be better in focusing speed and image stabilization, but for me, the cost is prohibitive.
In an F-16 that I was chasing, I managed to capture quite impressive photos. Of course, with a more expensive body, the results would have been better. I hope that after the firmware upgrade, its functions will improve.

It is now used on the D7500, and as I suspected, the focusing works better and faster. After the firmware upgrade, the image stabilization works a bit better too. If combined with a x1.4 teleconverter (I have the KENKO), it can be used as an amateur telescope (focal length 1260mm!) with image stabilization and without significant Chromatic Aberration. I have managed to capture Saturn with the rings visible! Since I have a telescope 150 x 1200, of older technology, with an adapter for a camera, the photos with the Sigma are much better.
